A highlighted summary of the following details: - Youth Pastor slanders minor of congregation in a youth sermon to peers without having all the details of the incident. - Church refuses to acknowledge the right to self-defense while hypocritically having an armed security team. - Church refuses to apologize for missteps and public defamation of a minor. On March 20th, 2024, a shocking incident at Cody Alliance Church's Youth Group spiraled into a series of missteps involving our son, Ben. During an innocent basketball game, a younger boy relentlessly harassed Ben and his friends, finally, deliberately hurling a ball straight at Ben’s face. Ben defended himself, but instead of support, he faced unfair consequences. Youth Pastor Andrew Griffin, enforcing a so-called zero-tolerance policy, removed Ben while ignoring the original instigator. Worse, Andrew publicly shamed Ben in the lesson that night, painting him as the angry, vengeful aggressor. Our attempts to seek justice with Lead Pastor Randy Shaw were stonewalled with delays and dismissive responses. When we finally secured a meeting, Randy outright refused to apologize or acknowledge Ben’s right to self-defense, even as he continued to provoke us. This blatant mishandling and the unjust defamation of Ben’s character have left us no choice but to call on church leadership to take decisive action. The integrity and trust within our community are at stake. See images below for the email chain with more detailed explanations.

My family moved here last April and found a wonderful place to Worship and fellowship at CMA. The teachings are given with sound doctrine and their are so many great opportunities to get involved. It was a perfect fit for us and eased the change from moving from a church we loved. I highly recommend CMA for anyone that is looking to join a local church that has love, the Word, and the Holy Spirit. And Christ at the center of it all.

Fairly large church, which allows for a lot of programs. This is a good thing for the ones involved, but it seems difficult to break into the "inner circle" and be recognized as an individual as opposed to another body to add to their total. I went three weeks in a row and was asked each time by the same people if it was my first visit. On the good side, the preaching is straight from the word of God.

I love these people! The facilities are very nice and they offer program for every age, men and women. Good Christians willing to make anyone feel welcome while holding tight to Biblical truth. They do a lot for the local community as well as missions around the world.
