I’ll never darken the doors of this church again! Our first time visiting I was told my family was to sit in the back in a reserved section for families with children. We politely declined. Once again I was told to sit in another row in the back so others would not be distracted by my granddaughter. After the time of worship music and prayer I was asked by an usher that he needed to see me and escorted me to the back of the sanctuary. I was told that we would have to leave because my granddaughter was distracting others behind us. This is definitely not a family friendly church that follows the Bible. Mathew 19: 14 apparently isn’t followed.

This is a lovely, God-centered, Bible-focused community and they have such an active group of Christians who serve eachother well beyond Sunday morning!

We were staying at a cabin me and my wife for our anniversary. We were leaving stopped at this church. Very welcoming even got invited to their pot luck meal. Would highly recommend to anyone needing Jesus or a church family. We felt very welcome. That's unfortunately not always the case at some churches but that was not the case here. The message was on point.

My fiancé and I have been attending Calvary Chapel for about 5 months now and have nothing but good things to say. Teaching is thorough and challenging and the people are incredibly pleasant and welcoming. Good spot for people of any age and to come as you are in terms of dress, Bible knowledge, etc.

If you're looking for a church where you can grow in your relationship with Jesus, this is an excellent place! Calvary Chapel believes in covering all 66 books of the bible, verse by verse, chapter by chapter. Old testament and new testament. All scripture is profitable and breathe out by God! (2 Timothy 3:16,17). In knowing this, pastor Shawn unapologetically teaches the bible, he encourages your individual walk and relationship with Christ. This church was started 20 years ago and God has blessed it tremendously since! I personally have been going to this church for 6 consistent years now. I wish I would have found it sooner, but better late than never, as they say. There are many families that have been going here longer than I have! Biblical christians, who see the importance of putting God first in their lives. What an awesome thing to be apart of. God bless whoever reads this! :)

Teaching is decent and I didn't have any disagreements with it. The only disagreement I have is if you have young children, there is no place for them in service if they make any noise. It felt that it is far more important to have children in children's church than for them to be in service, especially if they make any noises (who may be doing what is developmentally normal for children their age to do). Definitely not in the spirit of Jesus in Matthew 19:14, who held children in high honor.

Calvary Chapel is fantastic place to learn God's word and to be around great people. The pastor and staff are beautiful people. My wife and I are truly blessed to have this church in our lives.

I have yet to visit the church, but I can say the pastor here (Shawn) Is amazing. He's one of the nicest men I've met and carries himself in a very professional way.

Calvary Chapel of Morgantown is a wonderful group of believers with a love for God and his word. If you want to be encouraged in practical Christian living, this is the place.
