Zion lives by its mission of Equipping Generations for Life in Christ. We made our decision to join the church after seeing the number of children who went up for the children’s sermon during our first time worshipping. Since then, we have been able to see our own children grow in their faith. Zion Church, School, and Daycare has been a blessing to our family.

Zion Lutheran of Wayside is a gem of a church and parochial school. The pastors, principal, teachers, and staff are friendly and welcoming. The school offers 4K-8th grade classes and also runs a daycare. Students receive a Christ-centered and thorough education (STEM, up-to-date technology use, advanced reading, community service projects) along with quality sports opportunities. The church has 2 traditional services and 1 contemporary service each week, and facilitates small group bible studies and other group activities. Zion Wayside has a long 150+ year history and continues to be a pillar and asset in this rural community.

My grandfather was the pastor of this church in the 1960's, I have many fond memories of visiting. Today the current pastor let me take few pictures in the sanctuary, he was very nice. Both the church and school are doing well, but the church no longer has worship services in German

Pastor Welter is always really good to listen to and I always leave filled! The church is so accepting even if you aren't Lutheran.
