Unfortunately, I can’t recommend Sacred Heart Church in Oshkosh. While the building itself is beautiful and the community seems friendly, the church continues to promote historically inaccurate portrayals of biblical times. Most notably, their depiction of Jesus as a white man with long, light hair—more like a hippie from the 60s than someone who would have actually lived in the Middle East 2,000 years ago—is not only misleading but dismissive of historical and cultural accuracy. It’s troubling that in 2025, a place of worship would still cling to outdated and Eurocentric imagery instead of embracing truth and inclusivity. Faith should be rooted in honesty, not nostalgia for a version of history that never existed. Disappointing.

I'm not catholic but I feel like a cause to be despaired of. I came to light a candle anyway. The door was locked. It looks like they may be knocking this place down. I went across the street and got bruschetta with blueberries instead.

My great aunt Sister Lelia taught & lived here when we were kids growing up in WI in the 60's. She was the sweetest person from my childhood & I wanted to share a photo I recently found of her to honor her love of God and everyone with whom she shared her life.

Another warm and inviting parish. Even though we belong to St. Raphs officially I feel just as welcome and a part of this parish as well. Another great blessing for the community.

This church is very inviting. As an example; weekly they have print out of what the mass will contain, step by step,so everyone can follow along, not just the regulars

Beautiful Catholic Church. One of the best I have ever been to. This church deserves nothing but 5 stars and the bad reviews seem to be talking about nothing relevant, almost seems like heretics are trying to review bomb this place.
