The Randolph Protestant Reformed Church is a congregation of 59 families in Wisconsin, about 40 miles northeast of Madison. We are a Reformed church that preaches the historic Christian faith with an emphasis on the sovereignty of God and salvation by grace alone. Who We Are

The Randolph Protestant Reformed Church is a congregation of 59 families, totaling about 230 members. We are located in Wisconsin, about 40 miles northeast of Madison, and 70 miles northwest of Milwaukee. Our church is at 229 Hammond Street in Randolph (2 blocks east of highway 73 and 2 blocks south of highway P). We are a Reformed church that preaches the historic Christian faith with an emphasis on the sovereignty of God and salvation by grace alone.

Faith Tradition and Denomination

We are part of the Protestant Reformed Churches in America (PRC), a denomination of 28 churches and over 7000 members in the United States and Canada. The PRC trace their spiritual lineage back to the apostles and adhere to the three creeds of the Reformed tradition: the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dordt. We confess and proclaim the doctrines of double predestination; limited, effectual atonement; total depravity; irresistible grace; and the perseverance of saints, as fundamental truths of the gospel of grace.

Worship and Gathering Style

Our worship services are at 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM on Sundays. During the year, we also gather for worship on special occasions – such as on the mornings (9:30) of New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, and on the evenings (7:30) of Prayer Day (the second Wednesday in March), Good Friday, Ascension Day, and Old Years Day. Our worship services are characterized by reverence and respect for God and for His Word. The focal point is the preaching of God’s Word, which we believe is used to instruct us in the truth of salvation and to call us to constant repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We sing versifications of the Psalms in our worship services, and our liturgy is simple but significant, focusing on prayer, singing, preaching, and giving to help the poor.

Ministries and Services

We have a strong program for the instruction of children in the truth of the Word of God. Our catechism season, geared for the religious education of our youth, runs from September through April. Children in Grades 1-7 receive special instruction in Bible history, and young people in Grades 8-12 and higher receive special instruction in the teachings of Scripture as confessed by Reformed churches. Our Sunday School meets immediately after the afternoon worship service during the three summer months, June through August.

From September through April, four other groups meet regularly for Bible Study: the Young People’s Society (Grades 9 through Post High School), the Men’s Society (open to any interested men), the Ladies’ Society (open to any interested women), and the Adult Bible Society (open to all adults). A choir meets periodically on Sunday afternoons to practice for special programs around Thanksgiving and Easter.

Facilities and Events

Our church building is located at 229 Hammond St. and has been in use since 1974. We also operate Faith Christian School for the education of our children from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Faith Christian is a parental school, not a parochial school, and is maintained and supervised by members of our congregation through a society of fellow believers.

We believe in the importance of active church membership and encourage visitors to become part of our congregation. We have special classes for new Christians who wish to become members of our church, and we take God’s word seriously, seeking to know its meaning for our everyday life.
