My parents grew up here at HCC, then called Superior Christian Missionary Alliance. We've been attending since summer of 2021. Soon we'll celebrate 100 years of loving God and loving people.

The very kind Christian folks serve the community by serving a nice meal on one Thursday per month. I had an unpleasant experience, though, when an underprivileged gentleman asked me what time the meal would be served. Being that I didn't know the answer to that question, I sought out someone who might know. I found an individual sitting in the church office and asked him what time the meal would be served and I was met with such a rude response that the underprivileged gentleman practically ran from the building. I'm not sure if this was a Pastor or parishioner, but his unkind response does a disservice to the kind persons who put forth the time and effort to serve their neighbors with this meal.
