Great community! Great teaching pastor Matt Erickson is truly a Godly man. This church made a huge impact on my life. There are no words I could write in a review to tell how much love, grace and compassion I received at eastbrook church. Highly recommend this church! Come make it home. Remember it’s not a perfect place but it’s full of love and those people are trying to honor Jesus!

Eastbrook is an incredibly conservative church masquerading as a nondenominational church where all are welcome. Its unnecessarily divisive stands on social and theological matters undercut the efforts to be welcoming. For instance, its “pray the gay away” mission flies in the face of all accepted, credible science. It is rather judgmental of those that do not fit their narrow view of what a Christian should be: politically conservative, unilaterally accepting of what is presented in sermons, and dismissive of Catholicism and mainstream Protestant denominations. During my over 20 years at Eastbrook, I was taught that Catholics and Protestant denominations don't truly follow the Bible, nor do they evangelize. This is certainly not true and is incredibly damaging to the cause of Christian unity. Moreover, those who questioned the interpretation of Bible verses or wandered in their faith were dismissed with a patriarchal attitude. I believe it is the role of a church to welcome these individuals. The church takes great pride in “diversity,” yet often succumbs to benevolent racism. Inner city churches and communities need white guidance to live “proper Christian lives,” and these communities are far less than full partners. After evangelizing, Eastbrook leadership returns to their places of comfort and privilege, rarely questioning the structural roots of racism and urban plight. I left Eastbrook after over twenty years of attendance. I have not seen sufficient developments since to bring me back.

Such a wonderful and friendly church! Great staff! Pastor Matt is a gem, and biblically sound with his sermons & theology. Love the multi ethnic community here. Not too big of a church- feels homey!

Really loving and warm non-judgemental multi-cultural environment... They go out their way to provide you with many resources and various programs that the church offers... Their food pantry provides you with actual items to prepare a REAL MEAL vs most in the area code where you barely are given anything that can be used and some of the items be out dated... They even provide fresh fruit and vegetables and healthy options... I really love and appreciate the people here...

Eastbrook is a wonderful community of believers with a focus on encouraging folks in their walk with the Lord, teaching the Word of God in a way that is relevant for today's world, and showing true care for needs in the city - and the world. Eastbrook is also a safe place to come if you have questions about God - or aren't even sure if God is real. One element that makes Eastbrook unique is that it is truly a multi-racial, multi-ethnic church. The children's programming is truly wonderful as well. I've loved being involved in the church's Foster and Adoption Support Team and worship/music ministry.

Wonderful music and choir.. the trumpet was great! Sermon by pastor Matt as usual stimulating, and thoughtful! Multiracial congregation just like life! !!
