Hi. I like this church because the people and minister don't insist you agree with them on every theological and social issue in order to belong, and everyone seems to encourage everyone else to find their gifts and use them for the benefit of the congregation and the community. Some of the laypeople have been learning to give sermons. Others manage the relationship between the congregation and the governing bodies of the Methodist denomination. Many or most members are from other backgrounds and bring the contributions of different traditions to our worship services. I love the Bible studies, where people will think through ideas with you and try to find the ways God's word speaks to us in ordinary life.

The services start and end on time, everybody's friendly but they don't push you to join things, they're doing lots in the community (food bank, aerobics, community gardening, etc.), and they have both conservatives and liberals in the congregation. Everybody gets along and they're open to meeting new people and trying new things. A very nice group of people.

Beautiful church! Was there for a wedding recently, Cookie was wonderful as she was able to step in when originally Paster became ill. Wonderful service.

The pastor's email address listed on the UMC website didn't work, no one answered the church phone, I couldn't find the service times online, the church doesn't show up in my car's GPS, and the church's services aren't listed in the local newspaper, so I drove over there this morning, guessing they might meet at 11 a.m.. Although there were cars in the lot, the outside sign says they start at 9:30 so I didn't go in.
