  I absolutely love the Mountain Church, now my church! The people here are loving, caring, fun, accepting and excited about knowing and following Jesus, a bible believing and preaching church community. The love and acceptance I received when I first walked through the doors was amazing. That love and acceptance almost 6 months later is still just as real. I feel embraced and know that I matter here at this church. I thank God for leading me to the Mountain Church, the people here have become my family and have helped me to grow in a deeper way in my relationship with Jesus! The pastor and his wife are super cool, very precious people to me and my life now. I highly recommend anyone looking for a church where ALL are welcomed, looking to be loved and biblically encouraged in your walk with Jesus, come visit us at the Mountain!

  I guess they just pick and choose who they feel is worthy of helping, or who they feel really needs the help. I had a fire and lost everything in my home and reached out to them more than once and I never even got a reply. It's not about if they could have actually helped me or not it's about not even hey will pray for you nothing. I attended that church for a short time and considered making it my church but I would not step foot in there ever again. It must be a cult and I guess I don't fit into it. It's the exact reason why I have zero faith. I don't believe anymore. Because if there is and he's this judgemental like the people that run his so-called churches, I want no part of it. Thanks for nothing Mountain Church. I guess I don't fit into your high standards REPLY I have called every organization out there both from 211 and checking there's no help for somebody like me who clearly has worked her whole life and even when my husband passed away I took care of myself. Yes there were times that I reached out and I needed help for certain things. But when something truly devastating happens for instance when your whole life burns down in front of your face or oh gee it was a church that let me down with my husband died too. I've lost so much faith. This is the second time that a church has treated me like I'm non-existent. The first time it was the ladies in the church not liking the way I dress apparently. Well I couldn't understand that because I didn't change my habit address for when my husband died till 3 months later when they ganged up on me. Once again I have cauliflower ear from all these so-called organizations that exist, the conversation usually goes like me telling them you know that I've lost everything in the world and I'm damn close to the end I'm tired I need to sleep I really just need a safe place to say that's consistent for a while so it goes from that to them asked me do you have kids oh no you don't well oh you're disabled and you have some mental health issues well who cares you know what tough it out go pray you'll be all right it doesn't matter. I don't even have gas to get anywhere to meet anybody in person okay? I don't even care about the financial end of it doesn't really matter it really doesn't because clearly I don't matter I just don't understand how people that say that they are good Christians sleep at night. I'm a pretty crappy person most times. I really am you know what it bothers me when I'm like this it really does I don't like being a mean person but this whole world and everybody in it and all the fakeness makes me sick. I have health issues and I have kidney problems and I have heart problems. It's okay though I'll just pray. In all of this not one stinking Christian organization help me every single one of you were rude or you just didn't have the time of day or I got the I roll or the impatience because because I apparently controlled this apparently it was my fault. I just don't get it it's always a Christian Church is always. Although if they are connected to the church to somebody they know or out I'm just an old whatever I am I don't know how everybody looks at me but I don't care anymore either. I'm very tired trying to be friends with people that clearly don't want to be mine and don't care about my well-being. When I call somebody a friend I care I was really trying. Even my grandkids like the church, but I don't want them getting snubbed either. I'm sure if it wasn't for my picture you wouldn't even know who the hell I was. The very first time I came there everybody came running up to me and stumbling over themselves to greet me. The very first lunch and I had their I sat alone I felt like a fool and I am for trusting another church. And while I would love to come meet with you and chit chat about life I don't have gas not even to keep me warm at night thanks for all the help. And the good advice. Now I remember who recommended you and now I know why. I don't matter

  I am so happy to have found The Mountain Church 3 years ago! Pastor Daniels teaching is clear, gospel centered and encourages personal and community growth. The congregation is more like a family, and they are community service oriented. It is a joy to be a part of it.

  Don’t like the mega church vibes either? Then welcome home. I visited with my family when they first moved in to my area. Loved the kids classes they have, but I also enjoyed being able to have my smaller kids sit with me, and not feel pressured to take my kids in to a class where we didn’t know people. I highly recommend visiting at least once if your unsure where you are in your walk with Christ, but feel like your missing something in your life. I loved making connections with the other families there as well.

  I've been attending the Mountain Church for the last 4 years. I have grown so much in my faith and grown deeper in the gospel. My life has changed. Daniel always preaches the gospel and the work Christ has done for us. I am very thankful for the people at the Mountain Church!

  My husband and I moved to Spokane but before that, this was my church home for 5 years! I adore the community here and their desire and mission to make people feel welcomed and to serve the Des Moines area. It was such a joy to be a part of this Church. They make you feel like family!

  We were initially excited to attend their event! We attended and were underwhelmed. Staff was kind with a popsicle but there were no activities for toddlers as advertised l. Additionally there appeared to be sufficient adults per child count but few of the adults were paying attention to the many children. One older girl kept physically bumping into my 2 year old. One child told me that their parents were gone and their caretaker yelled at him and he was afraid on the playground. One older child lay listless on the playground toys. The adults were busy talking with themselves. 4- 3&4 year olds were by themselves near a road 200 feet away from adults. Children were talking about special powers on the playground. One 20 month old climbed a huge ladder while I spotted him with no parent in sight. Sketchy person in the playground area. What a disaster. We promptly left. The Mountain Church should take notes, we are believers and this was an absolute disaster. If you do not value the children first, you do not reflect Christ.

  Never have I been a part of church that truly emulates what it is to be a family in Christ before joining The Mountain Church. A genuine culture of growing grace and teaching direct from and true to scripture promote a welcoming and joyful space for worship.

  Pastor Daniel is awesome. His sermons are verse by verse through books of the Bible, and he does a good job of explaining it in a way that everyone can understand. He really cares about the people in the church, and the surrounding community.
