I just moved to the area and came from a small church ( about 100 people) to try this one out. If you like mega churches that spend a lot of money to make you comfortable, this is your place but it wasn't for me. I felt the worship team was moved by the holy spirit but not in a deep way. The congregation felt a bit low energy. The pastor preached in a way that felt kind of insincere. My overall take was a huge lack of humility in the sermon and in the pastor himself. I have felt like I've had the power of discernment before and I just felt a little off leaving this church. It almost felt like he was just putting on the charm and doing his duty but the passion, humility, sincerity and deep love for the people were gone. I could tell the greeters were passionate about their job. I went again to the Halloween event and it was a big production that probably cost a lot of money to put on. I understand the outreach but God calls us to be in the world not of the world and the big production, for me, lacked humility and a spirit of giving...though I'm sure many many people worked their butts off to give all the kids a good time. I could be wrong about this but I don't think it's the church for me.

Pastor seem to not have the mastery of delivering his sermon, it’s like he’s just winging it, unprepared and pretty shallow. I gave it a good try- visited three separate occasions but it was the same thing, he’s going in circles, his sermons didn’t have depth and he is not prepared, if you live closer to Covington, try Real life church, they’re much better.

My family have been going to this church for over 40 years. We love it here and our pastors are amazing. They lead by examples, and they truly teach the word of God according to the Bible. So if you’re looking for a church to call home and deepen your relationship with Christ, look no further; come and check us out and feel the anointing. River of life welcomes everyone. We have programs for all ages adult, teens and children. Services are held Sunday 9 &11 am and Wednesday at 7pm.

I visited this church while I was in the area for work. Before walking in, I felt welcomed. The worship team did a beautiful job! The music was amazing. They played several current worship songs that tied into the sermon. The pastor was full of life and excitement! I loved his enthusiasm and passion! I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area. They also have a coffee shop where you can order lattes and get some muffins/bread.

Pastor Jack is on fire for God! He has been on fire for God since I started going here! 10 years ago I walked into this church broken and stuck in addiction. I got saved here and I got baptized here. I came upon this church because I used to live near with other people I used to use with. I was very depressed one day I decided to walk to it with my 4 year old child now 14 years old. They have great children’s ministry and youth group as well. My son grew here. Sadly we moved up north and only go for the main holidays. This church is anointed and it’s filled with the Holy Spirit. One of the things I love about this church is that there’s all kinds of races and nationalities here! Black , white , Asian , Hispanic, Africans , Ukrainians, like the Bible says every tongue and every tribe !! Love the diversity here !!the worship team is the best and they been the same for many years. I moved 2 years ago and it’s hard to find another church to call home because theres nothing like this church. I came to this church as a single mom and now I am married with 2 more children ! I grew so much since I stepped into this church !!! You will not regret coming here !! God bless all the river staff and pastors !!

Attended Aug 4th as we were on holidays from Medicine Hat, Alberta. Very friendly church with wonderful greeters, anointed worship, and a sermon with lots of biblical references delivered with passion. If you are looking for a Holy Spirit filled church, with Spirit filled worship, (not to mention a Children's ministry and playground that looked pretty awesome), you should check this church out.

Cant stop by online & just leave without dropping a review. I came to this church lost in addiction ,hopeless & in despair. Ashamed of who i had become . The holy spirit overwhelmed me in the middle of the pastors sermon so strongly it was at that moment was the day i became a true believer that Jesus Christ is who he says he is. Hes in that church willing to save u if u let him . It was that day after that encounter after being addicted for 30 yrs . I knew i would never touch another drink or drug . It was 20 yrs ago with my only help in all that was that day and my lord and truly my savior jesus christ. He is who he says he is . Nobody could ever convince of anything bad about that church.

Their sermons are mainly focused on having faith in God that He exists to provide our personal success, happiness and perfect health/healing rather than deepening our understanding the vanity of worldly life and the importance of being separated from the world. They do not teach the bible, rather they teach their messages using the bible verses. According to their sermons, God is a supporter of our lives who is eagerly waiting for us to activate him with our faith so that He can give what we want in this world. Again, they do mix their own worldly messages with Bible verses, so it sounded convincing to me at first. But our worldly success is not what God and Jesus want for us to have. He will give All things if He WILLS. The things in vain are not of His, they are of the world. If only this church taught the bible, then I would have known this much sooner. But God has been so merciful to me because I was able to see the truth through a church like this one eventually. After 10 months at this church, I finally left and was able to find a church that actually "teaches the bible" standing on the sound doctrine. This church is based on the characteristics of word-faith/Charismatic movement/prosperity churches. However, people at River of Life Fellowship are very nice and friendly, so I will pray for them to see God's purpose for our lives and that is not our personal worldly happiness. May God's blessings be with this church.
