My daughter has thrived since August 2024 after attending their youth camp where she volunteered to be water baptized again, because she had a better understanding of who God is and started living a life surrendered to Him. Now in her college years, she's serving on the youth team alongside some amazing youth team leaders. Her faith journey in Christ, is a testament to how much the love of God is reflected in every Pastor, leader, team member and ministry at this church.

An Open Letter on Spiritual Authority, Accountability, and Harm Pastor Sherri, I am writing this openly because I have tried to reach you privately, and silence leaves me no other honest option. Years ago, during one of the most vulnerable seasons of my life, you told me that people in the church believed I was going to hell. You may believe those words were spoken in love or truth. I need you to understand what they actually did. Those words did not bring me closer to Jesus. They did not produce healing, repentance, or hope. They produced shame, fear, and spiritual devastation that rippled through my entire family. I want to be very clear: this was not about hurt feelings or disagreement. This was spiritual harm. When words about eternal condemnation come from someone who claims spiritual authority, they carry immense weight. You were not speaking as a peer. You were speaking as a pastor. Scripture itself warns that teachers will be judged more strictly because their words shape lives. That warning exists for a reason. After that conversation, my faith did not simply “struggle.” It fractured. There were moments when my story could have ended very differently. I am grateful to still be here. But no one should have to survive their faith community. I reached out to you seeking conversation, accountability, and understanding. I did not ask you to change your beliefs. I asked you to acknowledge impact and to listen with humility. I received no response. The Bible you preach from says that light exposes what darkness hides. It says that shepherds are responsible for the wellbeing of their flock. It says that truth without love is empty, and love without responsibility is not love at all. Jesus consistently confronted religious leaders who used their authority in ways that burdened people rather than bringing them life. His harshest words were not reserved for the wounded, but for leaders who spoke in God’s name without regard for the damage they caused. This letter is not written in anger. It is written in grief, clarity, and conviction. Spiritual authority is not validated by silence or loyalty. It is validated by humility, accountability, and care for the people impacted by one’s words. If your message truly reflects the heart of Jesus, then it should be able to withstand honest examination. If it drives people away from life, it must be questioned. I am asking for what Scripture itself requires of leaders: acknowledgment of harm, repentance where harm has occurred, and a willingness to listen to those wounded under your care. I am still open to conversation. I am still open to accountability. But I am no longer willing to carry this quietly. Silence protects institutions. Truth protects people. Respectfully, Patti

My family has been apart of the FWC family since 1993. FWC is very family oriented and loves Christ and His people! My kids would not be who they are today without the relationships that helped to shape them wether it was peers or mentors. I am extremely thankful for my FWC family. There is always something for everyone.

Love the people, love the worship, the sense of community and especially the message! Everyone makes you feel so warm and welcome makes you feel worthy again really good experience for our family! Thursday night midweek recharges are the best groups you can join ,you make the best friends anf have time to learn the Bible and teachings of Jesu and fellowship with others!

My family has been attending FWC for almost a year now. We're a military family that had attended many Christian churches, all over the country. We love FWC and our children (boys ages 2 and 8) love FWC! The Bible is preached in a way that applies to the situations we face today and helps us to navigate life in a biblical way. Te pastors, the volunteers and the parishioners are all friendly and genuinely care about people. FWC is our family, which is so special since we don't have any biological family here in WA. If you're looking for a new church home or are curious about who Jesus is and how a relationship with him can make your life better and give you eternal life in heaven, FWC is the place to be!

Awesome place to grow closer to Jesus! Friendly and welcoming! Offers many different area's to serve and become involved! Love that FWC offer small groups. Something for everyone, to grow your knowledge in the word! Love that the little one's also have a place to learn about Jesus! I am very blessed to call FWC my home church!

Best church experience one can have. Family friendly, loving and accepting without be condemning. The leadership team is great at making you feel welcomed to salvation. I hope that anyone who sees this review gets a chance to swing in for worship and prayer. If not at least bring the kids to TRUNK n TREAT starting at 530pm Oct 31st.

I have been attending FWC for 36 years. It has been a place of learning, encouragement, and caring. FWC taught me how to live the best life that I can. My children all grew up attending FWC. I am grateful for the love and knowledge that has been put into them so they too can liv the best life possible.

My wife and I have been attending here 25+ year and have raised both of our girls here. We are a church with real normal everyday people serving a real God. Our church family is not perfect but we strive to do the right thing serving Jesus following the Word of God. Pastor Devin and Sherri have a heart for the people and have continued to carried on Christ's message from the founding Pastor Stan Morris with weekly messages that you can relate to without judgement. Our church members come from diverse backgrounds so there is a place for you to belong. We have a variety of programs from nursery, children's, youth, young adults, adults to weekly bible studies along with a variety of other programs to help you along your journey. If you in town visiting for the first time and missing the Word or looking for a home church we would love to have you stop in and visit our family here at Family Worship Center and get connected.
