This is not a church of Jesus. Jesus would not be welcome here. "My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism... If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, 'Here's a good seat for you,' but say to the poor man, 'You stand there' or 'Sit on the floor by my feet, have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?" (James 2:1-4)

I don’t usually write reviews but when I was going through a marriage crisis and being physically, mentally, emotionally, financially and spiritually abused was basically told that I needed to submit and just trust my husband. I even told the pastor that my now ex husband threw me off the bed because he was so angry and it simply got swept under the rug. I’m thankful I found another church that gave me biblical advice when it comes to things like that and took it seriously. Both churches offered help but only one of them saw that my ex was indeed in need of mental help. Although things didn’t work out, I’m thankful that someone saw my pain and didn’t automatically side with my ex just because he “appeared” like a man of God on the outside but would do a 180 behind closed doors. Church should be a hospital for those that need healing, especially those that need Jesus. Not just a front to get more people in the door. There’s so much more depth to a real church family than the surface, and I hope that this church can find that a real church is a body of believers of Jesus and not just a social club on Sundays.

My son was attending church here the last few weeks as he just moved to the area. He was sitting in church today minding his own business when they sent a cop who attends the church to kick him out and trespass him because they said he was wearing camouflage pants and making other people uncomfortable. We’ve attended church all our lives, my son was raised in church and has been a missionary in different cultures and countries as well as working for YWAM for 2 years. I’m pretty sure Jesus would not have been welcomed here and doesn’t attend the services. I’m appalled that this church, instead of welcoming new members would judge someone’s appearance and apparel and deem the not worthy to attend and send a police officer to kick them out and trespass for asking why they needed to leave. The only reason the officer gave by the way was my son’s pants being camo, which they were not camo. This was the color of his pants and the cop who trespassed him. Worst Church EVER!!

It a welcoming happy church with a great community and word, but the atmosphere of worship could be stronger.

Crossover Church is the place to be! Great family environment! Smiling faces all around. Worship and teaching times are amazing! You can tell Jesus is bursting at the seams of this church!

Not as biblically based as ot used to be. The pastor has a pretty big ego. They lost their real identity a long time ago and are falling into the megachurch category where if you're against the pastor you're against the church. The pastor has a very cultish mindset of "do as I say and what I say goes" regardless of any biblically truths.

Very, very personable folks here, and non-judgmental. At 63 yrs. old, it has been the finest organization I have had the privilege to be a part of. There is only the Word of God (Bible), preached here. Nothing added to the Word like an awful lot of other "Christian" churches. Doctrine is excellent! Free Grace grounded.

-They put God's word first. The bible is what is taught from each week. -There is no such thing as a stranger. People just love one another there.

I am not much for big box churches and the outside of this one fits the bill to a tee. I was disturbed by their sponsorship of the Compassion Experience. (Which initially I was drawn to deeply..until I learned more) The New Yorker provides a good review of the Compassion Experience and here are two excerpts that made me suspicious of CrossoverChurch/Compassion Experience Sponsorship. From the New Yorker. "The units (Compassion Experience Trailers that ask for money to sponsor a child after the experience) themselves were built by Brewco Marketing Group, an experiential-marketing firm, based in Kentucky, that operates similar exhibits for brands like McDonald’s, Tastykake, and the Scott Paper Company. Tim Glenn, the communications director for Compassion International, wouldn’t tell me how much each semitrailer costs to build and operate. “This is a competitive industry, and I don’t want to disclose anything that gives our competitors an advantage,” he said. But, he added, “It is cheaper than television. We wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t an effective marketing tool and we didn’t get a good R.O.I.” Also "Administrative costs in the 2014 fiscal year were a hundred and thirteen million dollars, just more than forty-five million of which was spent on salaries and benefits; according to the organization’s most recent publicly available I.R.S. filing, in 2013 this category included pay packages in the quarter-million-dollar range for several senior executives and of four hundred and twenty thousand dollars for its retiring president"

This church teaches the TRUTH. They are transparent as far as i can tell. My wife and i have have gone two Sundays so far. We plan going back again.

Love this church! Edit: Steer clear of this church unless you love being shamed and judged. The church went downhill rapidly after the head pastor, Terry, retired.

If you desire to grow in your faith, this is a great place to do it. You will be taught scripture in a way that is applicable to life.

Great Word based church. Sermons are backed up with scripture. No fear of truth here. Friendly people.

Great place, welcoming, friendly, great spirit. If you want a church that is following the Word, this is the place.

  • Rhonda Alexander (Miss Rhonda)7 years ago

Way better than most churches today. Pastor Terry preaches/teaches the Word.

Not just a church, a family. Sermon's are backed up with scripture. Something for all ages, Newborns to the elderly.

Pastor randomly yells during his sermons to make sure you stay awake. It works.
