I went to this church as an atheist. First time I've been to church in about 2 years. I was welcomed by several people very kindly, everyone was nice. 2 of the pastors / speakers talked to me, 1 before and 1 after the service They served coffee and they have a place to leave your kids. Its a pretty big church compared to what im used to, it was holding about 300 people. (Im used to < 100 people). But that wasnt really an issue. My only slight critiques are that, there were 3 services, and all 3 of them were exactly the same. Same songs, same script, same message, same everything. And as an atheist, I felt pretty awkward just kinda standing there while the people were worshiping, singing, and praying. But if you're a Christian, it shouldn't bother you at all. But I also know atheists arent exactly the target audience. But still, 5 star review. Everyone was very friendly, and the message itself was pretty decent.

I recently attended “Friends Day” at Awaken, and it was such a welcoming and uplifting experience! From the moment I arrived, everyone greeted me with genuine kindness and open arms. The atmosphere was joyful and full of love — you could really feel the sense of community and faith throughout the service. The music was inspiring, the message was heartfelt, and the overall energy was very positive. It truly felt like a place where anyone can belong and grow spiritually. I left feeling encouraged, refreshed, and grateful. If you’re looking for a church that embraces newcomers and celebrates friendship and faith, I highly recommend visiting Awaken for yourself.

We were visiting because my husband travels for work. Easy to access location with enough parking. Super nice and welcoming people we were greeted within a minute of entering by multiple people who helped show us how to check our kids into kids church they have super fun kids areas and really nice childcare workers who let you know right away if your kids are upset. Wendy in the preK class was an instant friend. Jessie was so nice and welcoming. Sermoj was totally applicable to our daily life. Worship music was great. You can dress however you want. Wish we lived here if so this would be our home church! Plus we were able to Rollerblade there in 10 mins from the new Residence Inn.

Don't send your children to their youth camp unless you want them abused or starved. They make the children compete for food. The winners get restaurant meals for the rest of the children get crap. And if your child dares speak up and say they are hungry, they will get abused for that. Counselor even said it's more like a prison camp than a church camp. It's more like a cult, Definitely NOT religion

Seems weird rating your church but here I go!! Folks if you need a ear, a friendly face. A smile, a hug, a cup of coffee, and most of all if u need Jesus, COME TO AWAKEN, all will be provided. This place gives you healing beyond what u can imagine. There will not be anyone shoving anything down your throat. Come as you r. You will be welcomed and I promise you will leave changed.

Friendly people. Caring staff. Bible based sermons. Lively music. If you are looking for a place to worship this is a "come as you are" place where everyone is welcome. Adults, Seniors, Youth, Children.... there is a place for you here. Love their slogan "God would rather have you messy than not at all"
