I love this church, their ministries, the fact they do baptisms, and more Not to mention the leader of SL, Matt Lloyd, shout out to him. Every time I pull into the parking lot I feel welcomed and my heart just soars. I so appreciate all the volunteers and the roles each play. You will receive the most heartfelt hugs ever! Pastor Gabe is an amazing teacher of the gospel. It is amazing how in his service you feel he is speaking directly to you. The Bible study Groups are amazing. Such a support system. I can't sing the Praises of this Church anymore!! I invite any and all to come walk through our doors and feel the fellowship that is sincerely offered. Blessing to you and your family.

This church is the definition of style over substance. Never have I attended somewhere that feels like the church is simply marketing to me via sermons like The Point. I used to love attending here, but once the novelty wore off I realized how surface-level and disingenuous the pastor and messages feel. Most sermons are simply a plug to get you to donate or join one of their teams. They frequently pat themselves on the back and brag about projects and buildings they acquire. Despite this, I stayed for a while because I really felt moved by their music/praise band, but unfortunately due to their worship staff quitting and a lot of volunteers leaving, even that feels soulless and manufactured now. If you're considering going to The Point, I'd urge you to try other churches in Charlottesville first. This was never a place that made me feel cared for or seen, rather a business that wanted my time and money.

The pastor came back after sabbath and starts promoting his book with the same sermon we've heard from him again and again. Seems like every sermon is about picking up his book, asking for more money or wanting people to sign up for something. No wonder volunteers and good employees are quitting. turnover speaks for itself

Have you ever been on a vacation or do much traveling? And you come across this really special place that has the best dessert or the best meal and it puts a memory in your mind forever about that one spot? Well, that's the way this church is for me, I am so grateful to have the opportunity to participate in this body, and organization. And artery of God's heart flowing with His love.

This church appears welcoming at first, but in my experience, there was a noticeable lack of financial transparency. People that ask aren't given clear answers and are instead referred to a year-end report that I found lacking in detail. That left me feeling uneasy. It seemed like discussions around staff compensation were discouraged, which raised questions for me. Personally, I believe other churches in Charlottesville might offer a better sense of accountability and stewardship. I also got the impression that some leaders may be living more comfortably than I expected, given the community's contributions. After trying to get involved, I came to feel that the church operates more like a business than a spiritual community, at least from my perspective.

I found this church about a year ago and I absolutely love it!!! The blessing it has been to me since!! My fellow brothers and sisters have welcomed me with open arms. The pastors make the sermon understandable. And the passion throughout the church and the community is a absolute blessing in disguise. I got baptized 2/4/24 and I would t change it for the world! Highly recommended place of worship!! Come join for worship ..... I even go online 🙃God bless!!

I have been searching for a church that feels like “home” for my entire life. Pastor Gabe has a special gift of discipleship and the depth of the Presence of the Holy Spirit is absolutely amazing. I have had nothing but amazing encounters with the other people that attend as well. So grateful to have found this church to raise my kids in.

Attended this church while I was visiting family here. Everyone was so friendly and the sermon was so good… encouraged by God’s church.. much needed. The great commission broke down perfect through their lead pastor. If I lived to in Virginia, I would definitely attend regularly and would recommend this church.
