  Reading others reviews of others hear makes me wonder if this church has changed has a new pastor or the reviews came from existing members .Me an the wife over a 2 week period visited the Rockey Mount Church of God once on Sunday an most recently tonight for Wednesday night service . We looking for a home a church that is family oriented that isnt like the current what most would call a local mega Church .I will say an yes the Church appears to be a Church that dosnt hinder the spirt an believes In the gifts God gifts us .At the same time reading comments -reviews saying that it's a vary friendly church. Me an the wife deeply question the thing of friendly. In our 2 visits which included us leaving early tonight due to feeling like we wasn't welcome .Members an church goers don't know me or my wife NO I'm not but a guest could very well be Christ himself or one or 2 of his angles .The truth is We as Christians should always make guest an I don't care who or how they look even if that someone was on rags an stink like they havnt had bath in mounts .Which isn't the issue with me or my wife an even if so it shouldn't matter.The truth is in 2 visits as a visitor to the house of God which we was early for both services .If we didn't say hello we were not acknowledge nor one introduced themselves or came up to us . One couple an the pastor did introduce themselves as we left on the Sunday we attended .But in the end saying in a review that this Church is friendly is a stretch. AND WHEN READING THIS I HOPE SOMEONE REALIZES WHY WE EXITED THE SERVICES TONIGHT .We Meaning the Church can't expect to grow an to transform lives an the world being unfriendly .Little things like a greeting a extended hand shake an We are glad to see you an have you with us today goes a long way welcoming those that enter the churches doors .Me an the wife are older Christains been on the meat for a many years We both defently were disapointed that in 2 visits to the house of God that we was made to feel unwelcome not even greated in the house of God by any members of this church .Something that should never happen no matter what denominations you are.Its the house of God an we should be of humble mind an spirt an doors open an extended hands an do as Christ would do an be mindful of all that enter the churches doors an truly show the love of Christ

  Great friendly Spirit filled church. Makes you feel at home and very welcoming . Love the Pastor and his wife and family. Come enjoy being in God's house with His people and worshipping Him
