I remember growing up as part of this church family. I remember the snacks, the teachings, and the potlucks and of course the kind people and community groups. I remember learning the Gospel from the wooden board on the wall. It was so beautiful to memorize when I was younger. I am older now, and my family has been part of another church body for the last 4 years, but there is something so special about this place. When I think back on my memories here, I feel so much peace and comfort. I love my current church family, so I don’t know if I will ever set aside the time to visit again, but I would love to someday. Portico will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️

My granddaughter was in grad school and during her last year was diagnosed with cancer (lymphoma). This church made sure she had more than enough food, took her to her treatments, loved her unconditionally, and exemplified what Christlikeness is. As her grandmother, unable to be with her at that time, I felt helpless, but my prayers were answered in the good people of this church body in Charlottesvillle. I will be grateful forever. My granddaughter is cancer free. God is good all the time!

Love it the sunday school is great the kids love it. Chris the lead pastor is so down to earth and gives topics in a way you can understand and relate to easily!! Also love worship time and not asked to give unless you are a member of the church. Great atmosphere very inviting

I never been there, but I plan to visit soon. I've been told a lot of good experience with this Church. They're a Church that's offers Blessings to those that are in need, and truly are spiritual worshipers.

Comfortable setting for events. Good audiovisual system. Seating and accomodations were plentiful. Strong staff.
