⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As first-time visitors, my husband and I were immediately welcomed with warmth and kindness at The Layman Church. The atmosphere felt so genuine, with everyone truly making an effort to connect and make us feel at home. The worship was meaningful and focused on lifting up God, with a sincere, heartfelt energy. The preaching was grounded in the Bible, practical, and real, speaking directly to the heart. It’s clear that this church prioritizes authenticity, not only in the way they worship, but in how they engage with people. No pretense, just real faith and real relationships. It felt like a place where we could truly belong. We’ll definitely be back to see where God leads us here. If you’re looking for a church that values sincerity and true connection, we highly recommend giving The Layman Church a visit!

I love my church family! We have the best pastoral team! I love seeing my church grow. Y'all should come on in Sunday morning at 11am and give us a try. We have excellent parking, imcluding plenty of handicap parking, coffee/snack bar. Our nursery and children's church staff are all great. We have a 9:30am Sunday Bible study group and a 6pm Wednesday evening study group. We teach from God's Word, not man's opinion. It's a laid back atmosphere where everybody is welcomed by a friendly greeting and a smile. We are located on Peter's Creek in the former Parker's Seafood building. We would love to have you!

My husband & i visited Layman church for several weeks. The youth were meeting only once a month, we didn’t see hardly any youth except once a month. One week 2 kids, middle school or maybe first yr of hi school were sitting to my left, the girl was sitting on her boyfriend’s lap! They were kissing and she was rubbing him all over, in church!! There were parents who didn’t approve of this or some of the music that was played during youth group. The pastor came out and instead of teaching Gods Word, he explained that it didn’t matter what some parents thought, the music would remain for the youth, no discussion! He allowed the kids to make out and that is when we left & did not go back. Gods Word has been tainted, souls are being lost bcuz they believe the lies of the enemy. I don’t understand why this evil world is allowed to continue!!

I've been going to Layman for years. It has been nothing but "real" always. Real people, real teachings from the Gospel and just a real family atmosphere. I would definitely encourage anyone looking for a Church home to check it out.

A wonderful place to worship! A place where God’s word is paramount, and it’s ok not to be ok. The pastors teach from the Scriptures and give real-world applications. Come as you are, leave changed.

Nothing fancy 😉 and that's exactly how we like it! Real people, doing life together, following after Jesus. All are welcome, come in sweats, jeans, or whatever! Coffee and company and a Christ centered message waiting for ya! …

This is definitely my church family. Just like regular family, it’s not perfect… but it is kind, genuine, and loving.
