We moved from Roanoke to Fincastle 26 years ago. We kept going to our Roanoke based church, for many years, but pretty quickly, noticed that Fincastle Baptist Church had a great outreach program, which we admired and appreciated. We took our children to the annual Easter egg hunt every year and our kids loved it. We had multiple friends that were attending FBC and we decided to try it. We have been attending this wonderful, friendly, Bible believing and preaching church for about nine years. We have learned and been encouraged greatly through Pastor Kevin's preaching.

Whoever was on the phone needs to read their Bible. They told my wife and I that we could not dedicate our baby because we are not married. My wife explained that we are married but not government married because we do not believe in that. Dude just says "what's the hold up?" Ummmm we just said we are married for the last 11 years.... what does the government have to do with biblical marriage? Show me in the Bible where it says sign paper work with us government.....Genesis 2:24: "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" where is sign government paper work in that?

I have been a member of Fincastle Baptist Church since 11/10/2000! I feel at home and welcome each time I step through the doors. Pastor Kevin Cummings has certainly helped us grow in many ways and shares his passion for Jesus Christ! I invite anyone who is looking for a church that preaches the gospel to come see us. A very warm and welcoming church with services for adults and children, childcare for the toddlers. Sunday services are broadcast on the internet for those that aren't able to attend in person! I live in Giles and not able to attend often, so I greatly appreciate the availability of online services!
