We recently moved to Smith Mountain Lake & decided to look for a church to attend. We discovered this large community church. We immediately felt welcomed by literally every parishioner we met. Once the service started, it was easy to see the band & choir were devoted to Jesus. And, then this young energetic pastor, Troy, not only enthusiastically preached the scripture, but also spent time to make sure we all understood how these ancient words now relate to our everyday lives. All I can say is that we are thoroughly enjoying pastor Troy's weekly message, the great music and the awesome church community that have made us feel so welcome. We have found a church home that feels like our home.

My husband and I are new to the area and were recommended to Eastlake for community and to meet other young couples growing their families. We did get a welcome package our first time coming in, but once we were inside nobody spoke to us. Even the people we would sit next to hardly said good morning without prompt. For a whole month of attending. The service itself has a really impressive worship, but it is certainly a contemporary production. The thing that made me move on to a different church was we came for the typical service at 11 AM, and once in were told Pastor Troy was preaching in Roanoke that day, so instead we will sit and watch a recording of the 8AM service on the projectors. There are multiple pastors at this large church, and it made me uncomfortable that not one other person was trusted to deliver the sermon and connect with those who took the time to show up. We moved on to a smaller, local church that has been a lot more welcoming and invited us to multiple activities since week one.

Wow what an excellent and loving pastoral staff here! They take on the relevant social issues of our day, even preaching the hard truths of scripture. This a church for your whole family, as they ministries specialized for everyone. If you want to get right with Christ and have a real relationship with Jesus at church that unashamedly teaches the whole gospel that will radically transform your life, then this is the place for you. I couldn't recommend Eastlake higher.

One of my favorite churches I’ve ever attended. Pastor Troy is a faithful pastor, a man of integrity, and loves people. The staff team is incredible and the people are amazing. Love this church and all that God is doing at Eastlake!

Excellent church. Very welcoming. Pastor Troy's delivery of the word is beyond anything I have witnessed. All the Staff is very proactive with the congregation. Pastor Ben is awesome with his worship ministry. Pastor Jonathan has been instamental in engaging with us and helping develop family's faith.

My husband and I love the Church, music and the pastor is awesome! We have been attending since Easter Sunday and I put in a new visitor card 2x since then. We have never been acknowledged which isn’t a very welcome feeling. Also the men or women outside (greeters) are kind and welcome u but once u r inside no one speaks to u. We will continue to go bc we both like the music, the pastor and u can really feel Gods presence in the services. I just feel if the Church was more welcoming and warm it would grow even bigger. Tk u and GOD bless!

Awesome preacher!!! Great people!! Two of my favorite people attend here. Brandon and Cheryl Tuck! This property is where I grew up!! My grandparents C.D and Gaynelle Saunders owned all of it!! My home was on top of the hill where the schoolhouse was moved recently . My home was moved or tore down :( I'm not sure?? Great memories but so sad for me!! Beautiful land for worshipping our ALMIGHTY GOD!!♥️✝️⛪🙏
