After spending some time searching for a church to call home, we found Crosspointe church and have been attending for the past four years. From our very first visit, we have had nothing but positive experiences. Every person who has greeted us and that we’ve come to know has been genuinely warm, welcoming, and passionate about serving others and growing closer to God. The teaching here is rooted firmly in the Word, and that commitment to biblical truth is something we deeply value. Since we started attending, the church has at least doubled in size. To us, that speaks volumes — the truth is being preached, the Spirit is moving, and the church is truly alive. Even during trials and hardships, the pastors, their wives, and the church family are incredibly supportive, encouraging, and uplifting. They genuinely walk alongside you through whatever season of life you may be facing. The church is also very military-friendly and shows deep appreciation for those who serve. Pastor especially makes a point to honor and recognize that service, which means a lot to many families in this area. We are forever grateful for this church, the family we have been building here, and the unwavering presence of the Lord in our lives because of it.

I've been coming to this church for almost 7 years now and I can't recommend it enough! The pastors and their families are friendly and welcoming and the preaching is Bible based. Pastor David preaches messages that are very applicable to everyday life, while teaching more about the Word of God. I look forward to the message being preached every time I visit. They have programs for all ages, including a very active and growing youth group for the teens, a strong children's ministry, a young adults ministry - they even have a ministry for seniors! We love their Discipleship and Connect small groups for more intimate studies of the Word and fellowship with believers. We also enjoy the Wednesday night Bible study. Again, a smaller crowd where you have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your thoughts on the message. If you're looking for a Bible based, welcoming, family-oriented church, please come check out CrossPointe Baptist Church. You won't be disappointed!

My family has been going here for 4 years now, ALL of our pastors are loving, dedicated, and godly. They have walked our family through COUNTLESS hard times and being a prior military family, the church family we have developed here means the world to us. We have watched this church rapidly grow for years now when most are seeing declines, and it is incredible to see the Holy Spirit at work here. We have seen so many lives changed at CrossPointe including ours. Come, make family, and be a part of a thriving and active body of Christ!!!

We are from North Carolina but visit Suffolk each year to see friends, and we’ve attended CrossPointe twice. Each time we’ve been welcomed like full-time members. The pastor personally greeted us, shook our hands, and took time to learn about us as individuals..not just visitors. Their kindness and genuine hospitality truly stand out. We are grateful for the way they welcome us when we are in town!

We are new to the area and have attended several churches locally and decided to attend Crosspointe. They have been so welcoming, and we went through their initial course that explained their beliefs and it’s totally Bible based which I love! Also as a military family, we saw that they’re starting a new anchor program to support military families which I think is great. We highly recommend Crosspointe Church.

Seriously this church deserves a lot of love. The pastors here truly have a heart of love for their flock. The body of Christ here is something truly special. If you are looking for a church where flawed people are loved, lives are changed and the Spirit moves you just found it.

I started attending this church in October during a time in my life when I felt really lost and misguided. From the moment my family walked in, we felt welcomed and accepted. My oldest son is autistic, and they have been incredibly patient and loving with him. Not only have they welcomed him, but they’ve helped him actually enjoy coming to church, which means the world to me as a parent. Both of my boys now attend their own programs where the education leaders teach about God in ways that kids can truly understand. They come home excited to talk about what they learned, and it has been such a blessing to watch their faith grow. Pastor David’s sermons have also made a huge impact on me. I grew up going to church, but I used to find myself daydreaming during the sermons because I didn’t fully understand how it all connected to my life. Pastor David explains things in a way that finally makes it click for me. Because of that, I recently decided to get baptized, which was a really meaningful moment in my journey. This church has truly helped guide me and my family back toward God and toward becoming the kind of family we want to be. I’m so grateful we found this place.

What a great morning service. My niece was dedicated along with many others. Sermon was on point and I walked away with a new outlook for the week and ongoing. Many families, and activities to become involved in. I personally am not a fan of contemporary gospel music quite so loud, so I would choose to arrive later and leave earlier.

Finding this church has truly been a blessing for our family. From the very first time we walked through the doors, we felt so welcomed and at home. The pastor is incredible and always seems to share exactly the message I need to hear at the right time. I leave every service feeling encouraged, inspired, and at peace. We truly love being part of CrossPointe Church. It has become such a meaningful place for our family, and we’re grateful to have found a church where we feel connected, supported, and growing in our faith. 🙏

You can truly feel the Holy Spirit moving in this church. It is refreshing to hear pastors who faithfully preach the true Word of God and remain grounded in Scripture while helping people grow as disciples. Their ministry reflects the command in Matthew 28:19–20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” From the moment you walk through the doors, you are welcomed with genuine love and fellowship. I could share my testimony of how Jesus used this church to lead me to salvation, but words would not do it justice. You simply need to come and experience it for yourself.

My family and I have attended CrossPointe Church since 2016. We love the Pastors and their families! The church has more than tripled since we fist started attending. Our family has been welcomed and we have grown so much in our faith under the teachings of the pastoral staff. If you are looking for a church, I highly recommend you visit CrossPointe Church.

I am local, drove by Crosspointe many times during my outtings living in Suffolk. My parents were generous to try out the church one Sunday. I gave it a go recently and visited 2X. I am happy to say I am thankful I finally had the courage to walk through the doors. I am pleased and happy to say my heart is in the right place to continue the path to go to Crosspointe. They are very welcoming and open. I love what they offer and I am very comfortable with their nursery for my child. Looking forward to connect what fits for my family.

Not a good church to attend. Very tiny and watch your back as the pastor doesn’t stay true to his word. There are obvious reasons why this church hasn’t grown over the years and it shows within the facility. This church in my opinion doesn’t live up to the biblical principles and doesn’t properly convey the bible. They are not family friendly and not friendly to military families either. Stay away from this church to save yourself and your family’s time.

This is the place for you. If you have been looking for a family that comes with knowing Christ, it is here. We welcome you with open arms no matter who you are. Past David Sexton is an incredible example of God’s messengers here on Earth.

I believe this is a real church that is really about God. The pastors are so welcoming and humble. True servants of God. I was led by God to the church. A few years ago. I joined the D-group and watched online because I moved at a distance. I go in person as much as possible. I have grown closer to God because of this church. I try not to focus on the negative that I experienced. It's best to let it go no body is perfect except God. God said come here and that's what I am going to do. He will handle the rest. The main thing is that I get what I need to thrive as a child of God. So I can disciple others and grow as a Christian.

I visited this church with my friend who is a member. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the sermon was very good. I liked the pastor and his wife. They were very sweet. They have kids church for all ages too, but I don't send my kids to kids church. They teach from the ESV. I personally like the KJV. The church is a Freewill Baptist church and is in association with their umbrella organization (sorta like the Southern Baptist Convention. You can google it.) All in all, it was a good experience. Here are things that I wasn't a fan of, but it doesn't make it a bad church. There are actual bad churches out there, but Crosspointe certinly is not one of them. The people in general weren't welcoming. There were door greeters, but it doesn't seem like people actually knew one another. I don't think anyone knew we were 1st time visitors. The Pastor was the only one who could recognize faces, which is saying something cause they have 2 morning services. He greeted people and the leadership did after service, which is great and all. But we got there early and sat in the chapel for 15 minutes before service and it didn't look like anyone knew each other. So if you're looking to go to church unnoticed, you could do so successfully. I'm also sure you could find a community here, but you'll have to do the heavy lifting at first. The praise and worship wasn't my favorite. Their songs certainly lifted up the name of Jesus, which is all that's really expected. But there wasn't any hymnals sang. It was all modern music. I don't dislike modern music, but hymnals do praise and worship in a way that new music just doesn't capture as well. I gave 4 stars because their pastor preached a biblical message, even though I may not agree with parts of the Freewill Baptist doctrine.

I love it. In my 36 years I have been to over 40 churches. This is the first church that I've been to that I don't feel like they are just after my money. Everybody is nice and from what I've seen not judgmental unlike a lot of churches I have been to. The pastor and his family are great people. I find that the pastors sermons are very interesting and don't put me to sleep which is something that I have definitely wanted out of a church. For first time in a long time can't wait for Sunday to come around so I can hear the word. My kids can't wait for Wednesday night too they do a kids night on Wednesdays. This church and the people in it are extremely refreshing, I'm so glad our family found this place.

My family came one Sunday just to say hi to a friend. While we were there, we stayed for the morning service one Sunday and we never left. We drive quite a ways to attend, but if I had to get a second job for the gas, it would be worth it. These people have a genuine love for people and a passion to win the lost. If you are looking for a church that cares for you, I mean truly cares, try them out. They help instruct you, get you involved, help and show you how to grow in Christ. This is the Church. If you are an atheist, a Buddhist, agnostic, even a Satanist, this is the Church you have been looking for. Find love, respect, forgiveness and discipline needed to be successful in your family, walk with Jesus and every day life.

Our Daughter and Son Inlaw, granddaughter attend CrossPointe Church. We visit with them as much as possible. Pastor David and Charity are genuine in their Faith and Concern for everyone. We are approximately 1.5 hrs away and Breanna and her husband who oversee a welcome ministry traveled to our home to deliver a “Welcome Package/Cookies”! That was so wonderful. This is an Excellent church and staff. We are delighted to know that our family is attending a church where the Lead Pastor is a man of God with a wife that is delightful, loves the Lord. Excellent experience. Eric Vause & Dr. Bonnie Vause, Ed.D.

My wife and I attended our first Sunday morning service here on 1/27/19, and absolutely loved it. Everyone was very welcoming, and we enjoyed the sermon and service. We have a handicapped son, and they were more than willing to accommodate his needs. We will definitely be going back!
