This church is wonderful - from the moment you drive into the parking lot, you're met with a smiling face and a welcome. Everyone takes time to acknowledge you as you come in, and there is a nice welcome gift. The worship songs are well done. The sermons I have seen are full of biblical truth. There's just a sense of joy throughout the service. Top notch church that glorifies Jesus.

I found myself being lukewarm in my faith for too long.  I was in a rut, and drug my family down with me.  I never lost my faith necessarily, but just started finding other things to do on Sundays, let my Bible get dusty, and started saying rehearsed, memorized prayers every night.  I slowly began feeling the need to find a spark.  I started praying to find a church community that would help reignite my faith, and began talking to my wife about it.  She said, "My friend at work just invited me to Compassion in Radford!"  My immediate response was, "Hey, that's where we vote!"😂 It wasn't long after that when we decided to visit, and I am not being hyperbolic when I tell you that it was exactly what we all needed!  From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by people who were honestly and sincerely happy to see us.  I even recognized several people!  The music was uplifting and moving, and the message was spot on.  You're not just going to hear what you want to hear; you're going to hear what you NEED to hear!  We've been going now for several months, and we absolutely love it!  My whole family feels inspired, challenged, and full of the spirit after service (and that's saying a lot for a teenage kid!).  I am also watching past sermons on YouTube and listening to their podcast on Spotify.  We really feel like we've found a home at Compassion, and we couldn't be happier.

I have not went to any of their services but found this place while checking out local food pantries. And I have to say that they're one of the best ones in that area. They are very thoughtful in how they assemble the food boxs. And they actually give enough food for a few full meals where as other pantries in the area barely give enough for 1 meal not that I can really blame any of them because after all all the food is donated. I only suggest that if you go here for the pantry you'll want to show up early because the line can become quit long along with the wait sometimes.
