I have been here a few times for various events. They are always so nice and accommodating. The parking is a good little walk from the front entrance so you may want to get dropped off by the door if you have mobility issues. It’s very spacious. These photos are from a Kwanzaa event where I was a vendor.

First time planing a party that needed a venue , I was on a budget so I’ve been looking 6 months prior to my party ! Until a friend came across, Coastal Virginia Unitarian . Affordable , Spacious , Staff is amazing and understanding to my needs . Venue came with tables and chairs that’s a plus ! Also your cleaning deposit back ! I worked with Mrs Sally Daniel and she was so understanding about my vision I was able to make sure what I wanted fit ! My daughter 1st birthday party was amazing and I’m glad I chose this place to have it !

What a wonderful and warming space. I came across CVUU when doing a Google search for venue rentals in Virginia Beach. One of our closest friends mother passed suddenly while visiting her home in the Philippines. She was laid to rest in her hometown, but family and friends wanted to memorialize and celebrate her life in the United States. We had placed a deposit just a couple of days at another venue before finding this gem. The family didn’t want a formal “church” setting but when they viewed the sanctuary and social hall, they were sold! We had less than 2 weeks to plan and with the help of the community at CVUU (Suzie, Susan, Doug, & Rev. Viola), the memorial was a success. They really went above and beyond to ensure we had every resource we needed and was so accommodating throughout the entire process. I’ve personally have never experienced a welcome from a church like this one. I plan on attending Sunday service in the future. If you are looking to host a function. This is a great place with great people. Thank you from your new friends in the community!

A Truly Refreshing Experience I visited this church for the first time on Sunday and was genuinely impressed. The building has a lovely, older charm, but the sanctuary itself felt modern, clean, and fresh. The piano music was beautiful and really set the tone for the service. (Not rock based although I don’t mind those) The message was inspiring. More spiritual than dogmatic. Which is exactly what I was looking for. It’s a mix of denominations, so don’t expect a traditional service, but do expect something meaningful. The congregation was warm and welcoming without being overwhelming. As someone who prefers to observe quietly on a first visit, I really appreciated not being singled out. I was able to relax, listen, and take it all in. They also had many activities one could plug into, I may take them up on it. If you’re looking for a place that leans more into spirit than structure, this may be just the right fit.

My partner and I were looking for a spiritual place where we could both practice our beliefs and feel truly welcomed. We found that here in this wonderful community! It’s a place filled with love, warmth, and a strong sense of connection. The community offers countless opportunities to engage with others, from a variety of events to meaningful interactions that bring everyone together. It’s a perfect place to raise your family, where your children can grow up surrounded by positive values, support, and friendships that last a lifetime. In these challenging times, this community has been a true blessing, offering a sense of belonging and joy to all who are part of it. If you're looking for a place to find connection, support, and a welcoming environment, this is the perfect place for you!

As an adherent of Unitarian Universalism I found the experience Heartwarming. The participants are a wonderful group of persons. As a Newbie, I felt very much welcome and at ease. The simple yet profound ceremony was touching and done in a way that was very inclusive for anyone regardless of background. I look forward to more in the future,

This is a church for everyone. They accept all, and teach many religions. This is more of a spiritual church. People were friendly, but it wasn't for me.

I enjoy going here because I always feel welcome. Leaders are kind-hearted and members are accepting, I never feel judged. They help the community with dinners and fundraising. Very special place.

Such a wonderful congregation, warm and welcoming to people of all walks of life, all beliefs. The community is supportive and inclusive, is very involved in social justice. I've been attending CVUU for a little over a year and I have very much found my home. So many wonderful, amazing, intelligent people! I definitely recommend going to visit, you wont be disappointed!

Joined on July 9th and feel like I’m finally home! More than just welcoming congregation, feels more like a close family. We share our love, beliefs, spirituality and respect for nature. Open minds and open hearts. I always go in person, thanks to generosity of two other new members (bc my HRT bus doesn’t run on Sundays!), and guaranteed to feel better after Service than before! Outstanding Minister! Now I feel complete w wonderful new friends in my new home…It was meant to be!😍
