This is the second church that my girlfriend and I have visited since moving to the area. One of my pastors from NC recommended it and we haven't been disappointed. We've been to two Sunday services so far. The services typically last just a little over an hour which is great for my attention span. I'm loving their series on Rest. It's a very timely sermon for me personally. The sermons have been packed with substance and we love the laid back "Come as you are" feel. Some people are in suits, others are in jeans, but everyone is there to worship. Lastly, my girlfriend and I both love how there's so much space in the sanctuary, some of the congregation is masked, and it's easy to maintain 6ft from others.

Update: My son and I are in VA and I made it my business to get to the service this past Wednesday. The church was more wonderful than I remembered and Pastor McBath was still awesome. The worship was good and the message/teaching was informative. They are doing amazing things in and for the community. Plus they offer so much to the members. This is my former church. I was a member when I lived in VA in the 90's There is no place like it. I miss this place so much. I miss My former Pastor McBath and the my First Lady Janeen.

I can’t visit Virginia and see my family without also stopping by their family church. I like to think of it as our family church since my family live in Virginia and often participate in their ministry. We truly appreciate this church and have watched it grow into the mega church it is today. I genuinely believe I see God's work moving through this church. Every time I visit Virginia to see my family, I make sure to stop by and visit the bishop and spend some time in fellowship.

I was a member of the church back in 1994 1995 at the old church in Norfolk . I will never forget the church had one service an and grew like crazy to 3 services people lined up outside. I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit that fell in the entire evening service. I check on this church from time to see the growth. Never forget small beginnings. The Pastors are amazing. Pastor Courtney McBath the small pastor but powerful. You will be blessed attending. I thank God and don’t take this part of my journey for granted.

Today as I drove by your church I saw your food giveaway in progress. I saw over a dozen cars waiting in line in each of two directions, hoping to receive what you were offering. I am honored to have watched you, even for just a few seconds, act out the instructions we are given in the Gospel. Thank you for caring about your community and for working hard to help your neighbors carry on through this challenging time. May our benevolent creator be pleased with your work and use you to comfort his people. Peace be upon you.
