Holy Cross Lutheran Church has a long history of serving the Brigham City community, dating back to its founding in 1958 by a group of six residents. The congregation was officially organized in 1959, and construction on the current church building began in 1960, completed in 1961. The church has experienced periods of growth and challenge, including a significant decline in the 1990s and a resurgence in the 2000s after leaving the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America to join the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ HISTORY.
