I’ve been coming to Capital Church for almost 5 years now. I came to this church during a time of desperately needing a community and church that allowed me to see a different perspective of who God is and what was happening in my life. I cannot begin to tell you how many people I’ve told to come to this church since. Everyone’s response is the same. Which is that was literally the best church I’ve ever been to. This is a church based on Christ & love but also not staying the same and growing through Gods love. This church is freaking AWESOME. Pastor Troy is a true man of God. He has such a way of communicating Gods word with love, compassion, humor and feeling like you can become a better version of you through God & Christ. The community here is also just as heavenly. Each sermon begins to teach me another way of how I can elevate my mind, heart and spirit. If I didn’t have this church I would not be who I am today. Seriously. I love this church more than words can describe. Thank you Capital team. You all know who you are🥹 I love all of you thank you for giving us all a space we can feel up there down here 💛

This is an amazing, non judgemental Church with a welcoming and warm community. The lead pastor Troy is inspiring and thoughtful with wonderfully delivered messages that seem to be meticulously prepared just for me. They also feature a very good praise band! There is a satallite service in Park City on Saturdays but if you are in SLC, why not try it this Sunday!

Thank you falls so short of what this little church deserves. They’ve embraced my kids as their own. Building them up and guiding them spiritually. Given them opportunities to lead and serve. The message is always heartfelt and there’s a simple warmth to everyone on staff. A gem of a church.

“YOUR SHAME IS NO MATCH FOR GOD’S GRACE” Easter Sunday message, powerful and inspiring. I am sure it was what many needed to hear I know I did, resonated deep. For anyone wondering if God is loving, kind and forgiving YouTube the pastors message it is one I would highly recommend.

I have been a Christian for 18 years & was going to another church for 13 years, but after going to Capital church only 2 times, it is my new church. Everyone is so welcoming & I felt the Lords presence there. Pastor Troy is a very dedicated loving person who makes you feel that he really cares. His sermons are so well thought through & I feel fed every Sunday. He truly is a messenger of God & I am thankful for finding this church at a time in my life when I needed it so much.

All the people is super friendly! They answer your questions and their meetings aren't to long. Their worship songs are wonderful. They only teach out of the Bible. My friend overdosed and died. We had her funeral here since she was baptized here. They made all of feel so comfortable. They are good church!! I would recommend this with anybody. You will feel part of the congregation even if it's your first time there.

The Capitol church team are remarkable! Pastor Troy has an ear that hears God and brings a message that helps others hear him as well. A church where you can Come as you are and learn the Love of God!

Capital is a friendly and active community of Christ followers nestled in the heart of SLC near the University of Utah and 9th & 9th. They serve locally and globally through carefully executed service programs. They have great music and teaching, amazing child care and a second Park City campus. You'll learn a lot here and make lasting friendships with people who genuinely care. Highly recommend!

Really good God fearing church. I was in town for work and had to do some searching to find a church that wasn’t a branch of the Latter Day Saints, and I was very glad I found Capital Church. I wasn’t able to find service times easily but discovered there is a 9:15 am service. If you are visiting line I am, know that these people love Jesus. This is a church you can walk into comfortably. No judgement or strange rituals or expectations. Felt like home in just a few minutes. Check them out!

No matter where are you have been before you find Capital Church, you likely will feel a night and day difference. This is the place where you can learn to be more Christlike. It is not only taught from the Scriptures, yet from personal life, which is heartwarming and generous. Also our Pastor Troy sports a halo, clearly visible on the photo below. If your experience with Capital Church is like mine, you will feel inspired to be a better person every time you connect with them. Also we laugh a lot!
