A beautiful, diverse, and welcoming church. The presence of God is so strong. They have an amazing and anointed worship team. Pastor Mark Scarr’s sermons are always biblically sound and he wonderfully represents the characteristics of Jesus.

I had a talk with the excellent pastor and learned how professional this setting g is. I was amazed at how much interest there is in continuing to follow in God's word among the lay. I am invited to actually follow God's word and be a good role model and to allow forgiveness and to become a role model while in community. It was enlightening. In thisforum I urge all to join in with the church and experience God's enduring light. THANKYOU!

This church is big and modern but that was the only good thing about it. The stage is big and has 2 screens. There is a loud sound system and the stage was lit up with motion lights, and a smoke machine! Why do they need a smoke machine? I have lung cancer so smoke is not my friend! The music was upbeat and catchy but was loud, really loud. The most disappointing thing was the sermon. It was all about giving your money to the church and the rewards will come! Holy Peter Popoff!! I feel like the pastor wants to be the next big televagalist This is the first church I've ever been to that has security at the door. The really sad part is that most of the extremely large congregation are the ones working hard and giving their money to this drink the poisoned kool-aid, Jim Jones of a pastor. If you are looking for a good honest church where you go to praise the lord and listen to a humble and honest pastor, this is NOT the place! There are lots of good, honest churches in this city that do not expect you to "give ten percent of your income" to them. A lot of people that are at the church are seniors on a fixed income who can barely afford to basic necessities to survive, or are new immigrants trying to build a life for themselves in our country, yet they are expected to give part of their limited income to this man, who likely lives in a ridiculously large house. I belong to a respectable and honest church but will not name it here because this review will seem more like a solicitation. Final thought, be mindful of false profits. Give what you can afford to comfortably give. Churches rely on donations and offerings, but to be slammed for over an hour about the need to empty your pockets is ridiculous. No one has to pay for God's love.

Woodvale is a vibrant, Bible-believing church in the heart of Ottawa, where faith comes alive. Expect Spirit-filled sermons, uplifting worship, and powerful prayers that nourish the soul. The lead pastor delivers deep, insightful messages that inspire and challenge, making every service impactful. The community is warm, welcoming, and always ready to support one another. With various groups catering to different life stages, there’s a place for everyone to grow in faith and fellowship.

I started attending Woodvale Church in September 2025, and I haven’t missed a Sunday since. Coming from a Roman Catholic background, I’m truly grateful for that foundation but I found myself longing for a deeper, more personal connection in my walk with God. When I came to Woodvale, something shifted. The worship is powerful, you can genuinely feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Mark teaches directly from the Bible, which is so important to me, and the community has been incredibly warm and welcoming. I’m so thankful God led me here. This church has brought me closer to Him in a way I’ve been searching for 🙌🙏🤍✝️

At Woodvale, the Lord’s presence feels almost tangible. The atmosphere is filled with love and warmth, and everyone is so welcoming. My family and I have finally found a place to call home, a church we are excited to return to every Sunday 🙏🏻✨ …

A great place to worship god wish the sunday services were a little shorter music is 10/10 sometimes I feel like the pastor drags the service a little long but maybe he's being moved by god's word and if that's the case, he's doing his job...

Our family has been attending this church for most of my life and we love it there. The church has very welcoming and supportive atmosphere and does a lot for the local community. They have excellent life groups, Alpha programs and children's ministries. During these difficult times they have expanded the Sunday morning services to offer three services to accommodate everyone while maintaining social distancing and are following all of the public health guidelines. I feel very safe bringing my family there.
