The Unfinished Church, part of the Parish of St. George's in Bermuda, is a historic ruin with a rich history dating back to 1869. Originally intended as a grand new church for the parish, construction began in 1874 but was plagued by disagreements among parishioners and financial constraints. A freak tornado in 1925 damaged much of the structure, leaving it to decay into the picturesque ruin it is today. Amazing structure to see up close, at least what's left of it. There is an interesting informational panel on one side of The church that gives its history and context. Very bizarre story.

Such a great destination to see on your way to Tobacco Bay. It's typically locked so you can't go inside but it's still wonderful to see

Unfinished church ⛪️ Worth spending 30 min if you have time during island visit…. Beautiful location for experiencing where man and God can meet in " HIS" Creation. Blue skies, emerald green palm Palm Trees reaching toward the Heavens , with columns created by builders and archways showing the grace and beauty of the island. I was told by our local guide that this is “Ideal location for wedding! And I do believe that it is for small weddings.

Pretty cool structure. Such an eery place! A skeleton of a church that was never finished or used. Apparently it used to have a roof but has been completely rotted away. Steep hill to walk up to from ferry port. Very little if any parking onsite.

Short 5 minute walk from the downtown St George area to the ruins. It’s a fairly steep hill, so if you have mobility issues that could be a factor or you might want to park closer to the ruins. They are really cool and worth swinging by for a quick visit!

The story around the church is what makes it historic. The church has this Gothic appearance and the area is all green and a beautiful spot for photoshoot, picnic etc. from the front, it’s hated and chained but on the left side, you find it opened to explore. There’s a little walkway on that left that’s so beautiful for walking and photoshoot.
