Shri Gauri Shankar Mandir is truly a blessing in Brampton. While it may be smaller compared to some larger temples, it is by far one of the most accessible and spiritually uplifting places I have experienced since moving to Canada. What makes this temple special is not just the space, but the people. Kapil Baba, Ram Shukla Baba, Tiwari Baba, and all the Panditji here are incredibly cooperative, humble, and genuinely caring. The warmth and guidance they provide make you feel like you are visiting your own native temple or Guru Mandir back home in India. My family and I visit this temple for most festivals, and every time we leave feeling positive, peaceful, and motivated. During Ganpati, the support from Panditji is exceptional—they not only help with temple puja but also arrange for home visits if requested. Every year, we have requested this, and they have always ensured someone comes to conduct the puja, which speaks volumes about their dedication. The temple also maintains a community connection through its broadcast group and organizes events like yearly picnics, which helps everyone stay connected and informed about upcoming festivals and activities. They also have prasad arrangements and dinner served in the basement during special occasions, which adds to the overall spiritual and community experience. Currently, a new temple building is under construction, and once completed, it will become an even more prominent and spacious place for devotees. Parking can sometimes be a bit challenging due to the limited space, but since it is located adjacent to a plaza, you can conveniently park there and access the temple easily through the back entrance—so it’s not really an issue. Overall, this temple is not just a place of worship, but a place where you feel a strong sense of belonging, positivity, and community. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic spiritual experience in the GTA. 🙏

Shri Gauri Shankar Mandir is a peaceful and spiritual place. The temple is beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere is very calming. The priests are kind and welcoming, and the events and prayers are always organized with devotion. A wonderful place to connect with our culture and spirituality.

I visited Gauri Shankar Mandir on 22 february around 6:30 PM and had an unfortunate experience. A pickup truck delivering salt in the temple parking lot reversed into my car, damaging it. At the time, due to the snow, I couldn’t immediately see the extent of the damage. When I realized what had happened, I approached Panditji and the temple management to request CCTV footage or at least the contact details of the person responsible. Shockingly, they denied access to any footage, claiming the camera was covered in snow. If that’s the case, how can the cameras serve their purpose of security? If a Mandir cannot even maintain functional surveillance, how is it ensuring the safety of devotees and their vehicles? This experience has made me feel that the management is irresponsible and unhelpful. If someone visits the Mandir for puja and their vehicle gets damaged, it seems they are left to deal with it alone. I expected better from a sacred place that should prioritize the well-being of its visitors. Very disappointed. Not feeling safe visiting again.
