The church, the landscape, the little town—it's all unique and beautiful. Sadly, many of the date palms that lined the road bear the scars of a great fire. Even so, they retain their majesty. The oasis near the entrance is also a very pretty spot. When you reach the center of the town, you realize that the park, the church across from it, and the small businesses surrounding it are the downtown area. Yes, there are more houses, but they're scattered. I also noticed a hotel near the entrance, but it's usually separate from the rest of the town. Anyway, back to this little downtown, a huge tree, like some kind of giant Ficus, really catches your eye, practically shading the entire park. I didn't actually know what kind of tree it is, but it's incredibly leafy. In front of the park and along its sides, there are small stalls where you can eat date bread, ice cream, have a refreshing drink, and other typical regional treats. By the way, it's a little warm. Not too hot, though. In short, I loved it. I highly recommend it. Plus, it's right on the road to Baja California Sur, making it a must-see.

The Mission de San Ignacio is more than just a religious building: it is the historical and symbolic heart of the oasis. A small, perfectly preserved colonial jewel, nestled in one of the most evocative landscapes of Baja California Sur. A place that recounts three centuries of history without the need for a guide, because just looking at it is enough to understand how important it was.

A beautiful mission. Its courtyards and interiors are lovely. You have to visit its lagoon and small park. It's a place you can't miss.

A beautiful, very spiritual place with so much history, over 200 years since its founding. I attended mass and it was very spiritual…

It's amazing to imagine the Jesuits founding this isolated mission in the desert. Now it's a charming little village, complete with a traditional boat. It's essential to stop and try to step back in time to get a sense of it all...
