An inspiring church, so beautiful, and historical, with architecture that reaches out and embraces this fortunate community. You can feel its presence. May it be so, for many more years. Amen.

It's the main church in downtown Monclova for a reason, with its spacious atrium facing the plaza. They've taken great care with its interior and exterior, and with its preservation. It seems the Catholic community values it, appreciates it, and gives it the importance it deserves. Regarding COVID-19 protocols, currently at yellow alert level: one entrance only, face masks required, and hand sanitizer provided. The pews are spaced a safe distance apart.

It is the main parish church of the municipality of Monclova, Coahuila, and forms part of the city's historic center. Its construction began in 1775 and was completed in 1810, and its patron saint's feast day is celebrated on July 25th in honor of Saint James the Apostle. Due to its location and the history it embodies, it is considered an iconic symbol of Monclova's identity.

We were fortunate enough to attend Mass celebrated by Monsignor Hilario. The altar server Mass was very beautiful.

It is always gratifying to be in this temple, where you find peace, the presence of God, in the Word and in the Eucharist, which nourishes body and soul.

As an architect, Ica's experience is good; it's well designed.
