The Candelaria Parish ⛪️ is my parish in Caborca. I received the sacraments of Christian initiation there, and for many years I served as the proclaimer of the readings 📖 at Mass when I visit my parents in Caborca. It's located in the center of town 🌃, on Avenida 6 de Abril between Calle 6 and 7, across from the Plaza 6 de Abril. This church was converted from a warehouse by Father Roberto González Urindain, who served as parish priest for many decades. His grave is inside the church. Later, Father Joaquín Ferrer, known as "Father Wero," also served as parish priest for many years. There is daily Mass at 7:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. (7:30 p.m. in the summer), and on Sundays at 7:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 6:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.

Beautiful church, a place of spiritual peace, pretty, spacious, and very quiet. It needs more parking spaces.

Catholic temple and sacred religious place for encountering Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, liturgical celebrations and praying the Holy Rosary, with a new tabernacle and monument to the Blessed Sacrament; with statues of holy people who are in heaven and who intercede for the favors of those who ask them; painting at the top in the center of the ceiling that shows the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove among the heavens, made by a very talented painter from here in Caborca, Mr. Marcos Gama; it has pews for an attendance of approximately 500 parishioners.

The fair on February 2nd was very nice. Likewise, the Holy Mass celebrated for the 62nd anniversary of the founding of Dom Bosco School was also wonderful.

A visit to this place is a must. It's one of the city's most iconic and popular tourist attractions.
