This is an excellent little town for a day trip, a vacation, a day out, or simply to explore. Their wafers made with piloncillo (unrefined cane sugar) and peanuts are a local specialty. The dock for visiting part of the El Novillo Dam is also nearby. There are all kinds of camping activities and off-road tours available. Don't forget to visit the entrance to the famous cave and the hot springs. During the rainy season, you can explore the bottom of the hot springs to reach a spot where a small waterfall forms.
