Hope Centre treats everyone coming through there doors each evening with dignity and respect. From the time people arrive on the property they are offered a coffee or hot chocolate and are able to stand near the portable heater outside until the warming centre opens at 7:30pm. Once they enter the warming centre they are offered a warm lovingly prepared meal and the volunteers sit with them and offer fellowship and ear to listen. Then they head off to bed on a cot with clean sheets and warm blankets for a good night sleep. All within a warm and safe place. Keep up the great and amazing work HOPE Church

Great service provided by one of the community churches that allows you to reside there for a night or a few so long as you adhere to their protocols. Very grateful for the meals and beverages that are provided on a day to day basis. Do keep in mind that due to the circumstances, some risks may be factored out and risks may be present. Use at your own discretion but as for someone who can speak on behalf of the homeless community, I would not complain other than keeping your hygiene clean in respects for all those around who may also be using the services. Opinions matter. A HUGE THANK YOU to those who provide their time on a voluntary basis and give their time, energy, money and contribute meals out of their own pockets to keep people within our community standing. Thank you again.

Unfortunately something that could do so much good is lacking good leadership and direction. I hope that someday they will find solid biblical leadership and use biblical and evidence based strategies to fulfill their mission

Based on personal experiences, I have concerns about this church's leadership and practices. I would advise potential attendees to: Be aware and observant of the church's practices and leadership behavior (in particular the senior pastor Kevin). Research the church's history and reputation thoroughly before committing. If you witness or experience any concerning behavior, document it carefully. Familiarize yourself with the church's oversight bodies and reporting procedures. There are currently reports on file with these organizations. Know that there are support services available for those who may need them. Understand your rights and the proper channels for addressing any issues that may arise. I encourage everyone to make informed decisions about their spiritual community and to prioritize personal well-being and safety.

I deeply appreciate the ministry of friendship offered here. In my 47 years of attending church this community of believers is the one that I felt the biggest sense of love and belonging from. The ministry team makes a point of getting to know the congregation and helping in tangible ways all through the week. People are made to feel welcomed and cared about as individuals. People are given opportunities to serve which promotes the person's confidence because it makes him or her feel needed. I love being able to follow Jesus and be discipled here by excellent messages directly from the Bible. I love being able to join online even though I'm far away and I love that I'm seen as a child of God and it's ok to wear my own plain clothing. It's my wish that every church in Barrie would join me in supporting this ministry and truly love others the way others the way Jesus does.

. I had a deeply troubling experience with a pastor who would label any criticism of his toxic behavior as "spiritual warfare." Whenever someone called him out, he would deflect responsibility, claiming it was simply the "evil one" trying to attack him. This manipulation left me feeling sick, as he used this narrative to justify his harmful actions and avoid accountability, all while presenting himself as a righteous figure.

The pastor is running a disgusting misinformation campaign against harm reduction in a community that desperately needs evidence-based medical care. His opinions have spread outside of the church and represent a very vocal minority. They are dangerous, unchristian and not representative of Canadian values. This church is not a welcome addition to the city, stay away.

I work with local businesses and nonprofit organizations all in the Simcoe County area, I can most definitely say this Hope Centre is the nicest, most understanding, well connected therefore actually able to help you!! place I have come across From hearing success stories after success story with nothing but relief and thankfulness in their hearts Hope Church Centre truly is heaven sent Thank you for your time & commitment 🥰👍

The outreach is excellent but the messages aren't as good also God needs to be more at forefront also the people are very welcomeing and nice but they don't know mental health things so should not help with that
