Good place to worship. Very friendly Canadian woman that greeted me. I like the name Hill City Baptists. It sounds very nice. Friendly Carpenter Father that spoke to me. I just wish the Message was more Engaging & not as long. Overall, good.

Organization needs to be improved. I'm standing outside the Westmount chapel wanting to attend the service from 4pm to 6pm (posted publicly on the website) and no one is here. This is the second time I've tried to attend a group here with no luck. The other time the event that is posted on the website (publicily) turned out to be a private event for members only. Hardest church to attend ever!

Beware of the pulpiteer Ben Inglis, of the Independent Baptist Church at Peterborough, Hill City. The organization is deliberately not transparent. While, many Independent Baptist churches can be OK. Most of them are controlled by one self-appointed leader, usually the founder of the outfit. They have no oversight, nor accountability and there is nobody to go to above them if they go off the rails. Quoted to me by a trusted pastor of a Reformed Baptist Church, which does have a head office and thus proper oversight, It was emphasized that many of them, IBC's are/can be cultic and huge disasters. Further, if you look on Inglis and Hill City website, they have no telephone contact, like normal churches. Thus it/they is the only one I have seen that does this un-transparent, dubious practice. The only way to reach them is by email. Inglis and leaders do this to Filter you, before he chooses to communicate to you, or not, so he doesn't have to answer a phone or you, that's why they don't have a published church office phone number. it is an insidious control tactic, it is not transparent, and does not inspire trust understandably. I concluded this When I emailed Mr. Inglis, he purposefully refused to respond, and immediately thereafter some other IBC "pastor" phoned me, could have been coincidently. Non the less Mr. Inglis received my email and did not respond. I do not trust him nor his staff, neither should anyone else trust a so-called church without a phone number. One can see the implications of that. Such action or lack thereof, clearly is not trustworthy. Beware Hill City , Independent Baptist Church sincerely, Dean Hale
