Grassroots Church is a Jesus-centered congregation in Thunder Bay, Ontario, founded in 2002. We offer Sunday services at 10:30 AM and prioritize creating a welcoming, inclusive community for spiritual nomads and those seeking a fresh expression of Christianity. Grassroots Church began as a home church in 2002 and has since grown into a vibrant community rooted in the selfless love of Jesus. Our mission is to shelter the earth with this love by shaping bright disciples, restoring faith, and sheltering the vulnerable. Our Sunday services are held at 10:30 AM and feature a mix of modern and traditional worship music, with messages that are typically 30-40 minutes long. The service lasts about 60-75 minutes and includes a nursery, a Sunday School program called Roots & Shoots, and a weekly Youth Group. Check out our Sunday service details.

We also offer Home Groups, which help form meaningful connections and provide discipleship and care for each other. These groups are a key part of our community, fostering deeper relationships and spiritual growth.

Grassroots is in a rebuilding phase and continues to meet at 1250 Balmoral St. after selling the building to Lac Des Mille Lacs First Nation. We are excited about the next chapter for our Jesus-centred community and the opportunities for growth and connection.
