We came across this chapel while traveling from San Francisco to Bakersfield. We had to stop and check it out. We walked the path up the hill through the vineyard to the church. The church was closed so we couldn't go inside but the views and the outside of the church were amazing. It was a nice peaceful rest from our drive.

Beautiful location and views, very quiet. Gets scorching hot so bring water.

Peaceful. Tranquil. A moderate hike too the chapel when the gate is closed for road access. A must visit when traveling Highway 46 either east or west bound, and Chapel Hill is tucked inside McMillan Canyon Road about 2.0 miles. Take time and leave with peace in your heart.

Wonderful Mass, starts at 10am. Beautiful building and surrounding hillsides. No Air conditioning but a nice breeze when doors are open. Small fire place for cold weather.

This is a Catholic Church, not a tourist attraction. Catholic visitors are welcome to attend Mass on Sunday, in Spanish at 8:00 AM, and English at 10:00 AM. There is 24 hour video surveillance with a local trained response team to intervene in the event of emergencies.

Very special church with a mini workout if you walk up. The priest always gives a sermon from the heart. Would love to know more of the history of it.
