I’ve recently started going to Calvary Kitchener with my husband, and we absolutely love it here. The community is so friendly, warm and welcoming. They’ve really made us feel at home here. The worship Pastor Josh is fantastic, he moves the entire congregation and I never want to miss it. Their hymn choices and musical abilities are absolutely beautiful. Now Pastor Sean… all I can say is that wow, he is an amazing preacher. Words flow through him and you can tell God just flows through his words. Every person I’ve spoken to can’t say enough good things about everything Pastor Sean says and does. I’ve gone off and on to church through the years and I feel like as an adult I had never really found a place that I felt like I belonged, that was comfortable. Life sometimes feels really hard and this place reminds you that God is always with you. I look forward to every Sunday with a great preacher, a great worship and a lovely community. Thanks for making us feel at home. -Elysha

1 John 2:15-17: "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride that comes from possessions—is not from the Father but from the world." If people are celebrating Halloween in this church we need to stay away from it. I would like to know why we are doing the things the world does? We are not supposed to look like the world someone please explain to me why?

My wife and I spent a number of months looking for a church. When we walked through the doors of KGT, we knew this place was special. We were warmly greeted at the entrance, the visitor booth, as well as 2 or 3 times in the sanctuary. And not to mention Pastor John and his wife Beverlie who gave us a warm embrace as we departed. As we continued to visit, Pastor John made a special effort to get to know us over Sunday lunches and on other occasions. He’s incredibly invested in the members of his congregation and wants to know what things are going on in your life. We are now fully fledged members of the the church and couldn't be more happy with our decision. The church community is diverse in age and walks-of-life, but is unified through many events and connection groups that bring its member together. The sermons are grounded in scripture, and challenge us to live like Christ. They’re also highly applicable, with steps to follow and resources to follow up with. I couldn’t be happier with this church - it’s home.

People are very warm & friendly. They truly are happy that you're there and really do care. The sermons are awesome: truth spoke boldly with compassion, easy to understand and leave you feeling challenged with a practical way to apply what you've learned. I especially like the personal stories Pastor Sean shares, funny or serious, that help you relate to what is being taught.

It took my husband and I a while to settle on a new church, but on our first day at KGT we felt the warmth of this community. It's so easy to come and go in a church and not be noticed but at KGT we felt truly welcomed right from the start. We also appreciate Pastor John's dedication to following up with new folks who have expressed interest in connecting through filling out a connection card during the service. We appreciated the warmth and intentionality. Furthermore, my husband and I really loved the sermons, which not only speak the truth, but which challenge you when necessary. It's great to walk away from church with something to work on and apply to life. The church has a strong sense of community which we found it easy to tap into. We've been happily attending now for about a year and are grateful for this church community in our lives.

Are you looking for a church who is hungry for God? Look no more. You will find it at Calvary Kitchener. The worship team knows how to bring the presence of God. Pastor Sean, a young vibrant pastor speak the truth like I haven't heard in a while. People are friendly, and welcoming. Karl and I made it our church family.

Hi My name is John and in the past year I have been attending your services. People are very friendly and welcoming in the church. Pastor too is very friendly and he makes sure he shakes hand with me. I like his preaching so also kayal. I attended last two weeks but could not attend the service due to COVID 19 and above all I come walking since I do not have a car due to my age as I am a senior age 67 years. Good job and GOD bless KGT church in the name of Jesus Christ. Thanks and hope to visit tomorrow for Sunday service subject to the weather. Yours Sincerely, John

My wife and I have been looking for a church for about a year now and have visited Kitchener Gospel Temple several times. This is a very different church than some current churches in the City. The Senior Pastor sits while he preaches making it hard to just listen. I wanted to meet with him but was never able to reach him at the church during the week and he never emailed me back. He's gone like lightening after the service. The website seems pretty clear but might be misleading, the services don't reflect what the website says. Also, what I think might be (volunteer?) staff turnover makes me wonder about the Pastor and Board if there is one. I will say that the children's ministry on the Sundays we went was pretty good and my son enjoyed his time, but that Pastor is gone now too. Will keep looking.

Hands down, KGT is the friendliest and most welcoming church that I have ever attended. I have been attending for nearly three years and the people of KGT have become family to me. They have supported me through a difficult period in my life. The lead pastor and his wife have become very good friends of mine. I am now a member and am involved in various aspects of the church, both on Sunday mornings and throughout the week. If you are looking for a church family to become a part of, I would highly recommend KGT!

Great atmosphere, awesome pastor. If you need a church to go to, this is the one. People are very friendly and welcoming to new people, and they have events for everyone. This IS the place!

New Pastor here is a huge hypocrite. He talks about community and how important it is to a church. He then proceeds to kick Stanley’s Preschool out of the building without even talking to them. Stanley’s Preschool has been a staple in the community for just shy of 20 years. Sounds like a huge contradiction between beliefs and actions. I’ve gone to many churches over the years, but I would never attend a church where the still wet behind the ears pastor doesn’t even pretend to practice what he preaches.

I have visited KGT numerous times. It is a warm and friendly place. Pastor John is a genuine person who connects naturally with people, and he has a great sense of humour. I always enjoy my time at KGT.

Great new young pastor lately (32), who has passion in his soul for other souls. But the plandemic has made me lazy, and sometimes I watch online instead of going in person. 🙂🙋 …
