I went to the address listed 9253 FM1998 and it was the private residence of the historical marker home of The Scotts. I wish I could find the location because my Family is buried here from nearly 200 years ago. Can someone explain how to find this?

We stopped by this location on the way home from our trip from Jefferson and it was without a doubt worth the stop. It is a beautiful cemetery with so many beautiful monuments to admire. I have never known this place even existed because it is in a very small rural town in east Texas called Scottsville, so if your ever in this area you should make the stop and admire these beautiful monuments which are full of history, some date back to the civil war. This is definitely a hidden gem in east Texas.

Beautiful historic cemetery. Many interesting statues and monuments. Many civil and war of 1812 veterans here. Take some time and walk around and feel the history and respect that emanates from this place.

Found out my paternal great great grandmother is buried here. When I visited was shocked how beautiful the place is. Took me a while to find her grave but it was well worth it. Now I just got a bring the rest of the family. Interesting fact. Lady Bird Johnsons Mom is also buried here.
