Started attending in person for service since June of 2020, based on my father's recommendation and suggestion, due to the Catholic churches shutting the door on our faces (during pandemic year of 2020), and have been very happy in doing so. I use to watch the early morning T.V. broadcasts on Ch. 4 & Ch. 9 for years with Bishop Brown, but attending in person was such a blessing and so fulfilling! Born and raised Catholic I don't think I'd ever been able to interpret and understand the Bible better than with Bishop Brown's teachings! Thank you Lord for this blessing! God bless you always Bishop Brown along with your wife Pastor Sonia plus all your staff and members of Word of Life Church! 🙏😇

I first heard about Bishop Tom Brown from my mom's friend who recommended him for an exorcism. I was experiencing a lot of demonic activity in many different areas in my life and although I had been a Christian for years, I wasn't living right. I needed an exorcism. Just as I was preparing to drive to Arizona to see a pastor there, my mom's friend told us about Bishop Tom Brown, sent me some YouTube videos on his teachings. Even though they were very old videos, I felt like they were speaking to me in real time. That next Sunday morning, I showed up to Word of Life Sunday Service. I sat through service, the teaching touched my heart and I went to speak to him after service. I explained my symptoms to him. He told me, "I dont usually do these after service but The Lord is telling me to pray for you Right now." He told me to sit down and started praying over me in a different language. I couldn't understand, but I just know that after an internal spiritual struggle, I felt like a great heaviness was lifted off of me. Right when he said "there it goes" it was like I felt a hot vapor coming out of the sides of my neck. Then I felt light again. I wasn't able to eat or drink anything for the whole past month. Even if I tried to drink a glass of water my stomach would reject it. I didnt even FEEL hungry or thirsty, I only tried to nourish my body with whatever I could stomach because it was freaking me out. As soon as he prayed over me, I felt my stomach drop and I INSTANTLY felt hungry. I just cried. But I felt happy and relieved. I felt God's Love, Grace, Mercy, and Forgiveness again. That was in 2018. Have I been perfect? No. Are we a church made up of perfect people? Absolutely not. We all fall short of the glory of God in some area, but what is important is that you keep seeking the Lord and keep pressing on .Ive been coming to this church here ever since and I even volunteer and sing in the band too. Dont go based off negative things haters got to say; I challenge you to sit through a whole service (dont skip the music!) see if God wont meet you where you're at ❣️

Coming from a Pastoral home, I can confidently say Bishop Brown's teachings and knowledge of the bible is the best in town (filled with the Holy Spirit). Pastor Lorenzo of the Spanish ministry challenges me to love the Lord with new insights guided by the Holy Spirit every week.

Bishop Tom always has such a powerful message and I enjoy watching his tik toc on short videos, it’s also encouraging and nice to reflect on Gods, love, grace, and strength for the day. It’s a powerful reminder on who we are in Christ and who we belong to.

I have been attending Word of Life Church on and off for over 28 years. The Bishop and his beautiful wife blessed my marriage and my children. They have always been there for family and me. No matter what has gone on in my life I always feel welcomed and like family when I go to church. The people there are just so kind and loving. I am proud to be a member.

I was looking for a home church for my family when I went to this church. Alarm bells from my conscience, which I believe is the voice of God in every human being, started ringing considerably whenever the pastor said that he might as well stop teaching from the Bible and start preaching from his own experience; a little book based upon what he experienced. That was the person we all have experiences that let us to Christ some of us have been taught as children and then have an experience that first is it there are others who let a life of sin like most of us and then had a revelation in their life that led us to God. No experience is judged in heaven I am sure or by God that is better than others. The second thing was that he passed out cloth pieces of material that he had blessed. I found a fence at this because I don't understand how he can do that if he's not a prophet. But the third, the biggest one of all is that at the end of the service we approached him and despite my misgivings thinking that it might have just been an all day or something I don't know I had to really examine my heart and to repent to God for what I did. When we approached him he made us he asked us to raise our hands and to make a pledge or an oath that we would attend church faithfully every day or every Sunday and I have significant health issues that were sometimes I can't get out and I watch from television another things was to abide by God's plan God's word the word of God and by that I had no problem because I had already done that in my heart when I accepted Jesus.Making a pledge or oath to God to abide by his commandments is not inherently wrong in Christian tradition, as the Bible itself contains oaths and vows to God. However, Jesus and the Apostle James advise that simple words should suffice, discouraging the use of oaths to convey truth or commitment because our "yes" should be "yes" and our "no" should be "no". Did we take Jesus in our hearts.. Yes. Are we born again if we do and live a life from God's commandments. Yes. Therefore, whether making such a pledge is wrong depends on the context of its application and whether it is seen as an alternative to, or an expression of, the fundamental commitment to God's will. Biblical Basis for Vows and Oaths Oaths in the Bible: The Old and New Testaments contain instances of God's people taking oaths or making vows to God.To GOD Vows to God: Many religious traditions consider making vows or pledges to God as a legitimate way to express commitment to His will and commandments. Jesus's Teaching on Oaths Simplicity of Language: Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount that Christians should not swear oaths at all, but simply let their "yes" mean "yes" and their "no" mean "no". Context: This teaching is meant to foster a life of such integrity and truthfulness that oaths become unnecessary. Considerations Godly Intent: The core issue is often not the pledge itself, but the intent and the underlying commitment to God. Irreverence: A pledge can be seen as disrespectful or irreverent if it is made with a casual or insincere attitude, or if it suggests that God's name is needed to ensure truthfulness. Pressure vs. Free Will: A pledge made under pressure from a pastor might not reflect true, free-will devotion and could be considered problematic, as opposed to a pledge made freely to God. Consequences: The pledge is a serious commitment to God, and the consequences of breaking it may not be a matter of divine punishment, but rather the potential weakening of one's relationship with God and feelings of guilt. I Appreciate them welcoming me warmly, and the people there were very nice. But I just don't feel like this is a church for me or my family. I thank you for receiving us and I'll leave you with all blessings in Jesus name.

If you’re looking for your church home , this is the place . You’ll find family within the members , peace within the sanctuary, and most importantly you will learn the word of God from a an amazing bishop and all the pastors there . I’ve personally seen miracles happen , demons cast out, and UNITY among every member there.. I promise you don’t have to look any further .

This church gives so much to the community. Word of Life Church is one of the first churches in El Paso to give food to the community when Covid-19 hit and the quarantine kept people in their homes. This church also gives to many ministries serving outside the walls of the building including but not limited to the prison ministry. Word of Life Church also has a fantastic Praise & Worship team who ministers outside the walls of the church. The church recently had a Minister's Summit, and offers timely and effective sermons. Word of Life Church offers a safe/fun place for families at the Harvest Fest in lieu of trick or treating.
