  Im very disappointed....I'm a Christian man and lifelong church goer, I usually attend Baptist or Methodist Churches. I haven't been attending anywhere in over a year and have been feeling down. I saw that Woodland Church opened a facility in the Downtown area where I live so I decided to give it a try. I liked the music and the preaching and the people were very nice. But that can all be superficial what's really important IMHO is how the "Church" runs behind the scenes and how it treats its congregation. As I wrote above I am just feeling down and BOTH time I attended this location I filled out the Get Connected card and placed in the collection plate with a cash donation. Both times I filled it completed out with all my info, I checked the box for text notifications and provided my email, I checked the boxes including that I wanted to speak with a Pastor, I was interested in becoming a WC member, even that I was interested in Serving for the Church. I even put in for a Prayer request (on the back) and asking for a Pastor or Prayer Team leader to contact me. Nothing, Zero, Nada none of my requests were answered either time, when I needed them the most. It is very disappointing to say the least. Maybe its true what they say about non-denominational churches, they are only about the flash and the money. I guess Ill go back to an actual known religion church.

  I just watched Pastor Shook on television and heard about the new location which is 11 miles from my home. How does Pastor Shook minister at 2 places on Sunday? Is there another pastor from the ministry that preaches/teaches on Sunday's? I am looking for a church home. Thank you.

  My family and I have recently started attending the East River campus, and there is so much to appreciate. The people have been so welcoming, the worship is meaningful, the kids ministry is amazing, and it's clear the church has a heart for reaching the community. One thing I wish I had known before attending is that the sermon is livestreamed from the main campus rather than being preached in person by a pastor at the East River location. While there is a campus pastor present, the teaching itself is delivered on a screen. East Downtown is such a unique and diverse community, and I think this campus has incredible potential. I would love to see the church eventually develop and empower a teaching pastor for this location while remaining united with the overall vision of the church. If you're considering visiting, just know that the preaching is livestreamed from another campus. Depending on what you're looking for in a church, that may or may not be an important factor.
