  I’ve been attending this church since I was 12, I am now 33. I’ve seen this church grow so much and I still to this day enjoy attending but last Sunday I was very disappointed with what I witnessed. I attend the 9:00 am service every Sunday and if you’re a regular you know that at the very front there is always a man that always comes in with his suitcase. Now I don’t know his circumstance but one can only put two and two together. He normally sits on the right side of the stage by the drum set but this particular Sunday (6/14/26) the seats were all taken so he instead went to the opposite side and decided to sit in the reserved seats for the pastor and his family. During worship the pastors security (and I say security because this older man always follows the pastor around and keeps eyes on him when he’s down at the alter praying for others) basically bullied this man out of his seat. I get that they are reserved but he could’ve waited until after the worship was through and told him during the announcements but he didn’t. He literally grabbed the man by his arm and escorted him to another seat but it didn’t end there..the attendee was also recording with his flash on (like all elders normally do) and this security took his phone out of his hands to turn the flash off, I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing and I was so angry to the point where I almost went up to this security to say something but my family stopped me because it wasn’t the time or place. Other attendants around also noticed and were making comments during the announcements how it just wasn’t right the way it was handled. I get that the seats are reserved for the family but throughout the remainder of the service only pastor Danae and Lindsey (the singer) were the only ones occupying the reserved seats…so he could’ve just stayed and not have his moment with God interrupted but it was and in a VERY RUDE manner. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen the staff mistreat this individual with the suitcase, I don’t understand why he gets treated the way he does especially because he does no harm and is a regular so it’s nothing new or strange at this point. Then ironically the service is about “loving one another and coming to church to come together and to have a weekly encounter with God” it’s just sad that his encounter was interrupted because of some reserved seats that were never even sat on. I hope you take this review and use it talk to that security guard and let him know that there are better ways to handle attendees sitting where they’re obviously not allowed to..it could’ve been handled with kindness and instead he handled in a way that I don’t think should be allowed at church.

  Do Not come to this church ! I would not recommend. I gave it two chances, but both experiences were disappointing. My first visit fell during their 40th anniversary, and the entire hour-long service was focused solely on that milestone rather than a message. I decided to return the following Sunday, but that service was exclusively about financial giving. It was handled in a way that felt very uncomfortable and repetitive, with no acknowledgment of anything other than money. Additionally, the music at the beginning felt insincere. It was a very strange experience overall

  We decided to visit with Westover Hills church as we are currently looking for a place to worship. We found pastor Ryan is longer there, but his daughter and son in law are now the pastors. Service was a blessing. God's holy spirit was present and filled the church. I loved the participation of the altar call. The people are very warm and welcoming. We well for visit with this churches. God bless.

  So sick and tired of this pastor and his wife always talking about giving your money to the church. I wanna learn God and the bible better but DO NOT receive that here. Yes we are suppose to give but to hear that every sermon is ridiculous. Dude has a whole PowerPoint on why you should be giving. Why not put that same energy on why you should come to God and learn God. Do not come here

  I came here for the Christmas lights, but everybody I met was amazing. Even had people praying for me, and if you are coming for the lights and you are handicapped, they have golf carts to drive you close to the gates, which for me was a blessing.

  Amazing experience. Everyone is welcoming, the worship crew does an amazing job. The pastors are great. My kids love the kids and students services. And what they do for the community is super special. We love it at Westover.

  Magnificent church! Went down to a men's conference Elevate. Had a hallelujah God filled time with 843 of my brothers in Christ. Great message and music.

  Love this church! The only problem I have is that I don't know how to join the church. I see classes that take place on Sunday, but when I go to my download, it does not state how to become a member of the church. Everyone here is so friendly and loving. From the parking lot attendants, members that hold the door open for you, the Praise and Worship leaders, and the Pastor. Westover Hills is such a great place to worship our Lord and Savior. If anyone knows how to join, please let me know what steps I need to take.

  Yesterday was my first time visiting this church, and I must say it was a BEAUTIFUL experience! Everyone was so friendly, and the music was wonderful and very professional, and the preacher’s message was so inspirational and was exactly what I needed to hear at the moment. I absolutely love the building as well, it’s so beautiful with all the lights and the whole stage and set were wonderful. It was truly an uplifting experience, and I feel truly blessed to be there. Definitely will be visiting again often!!! Thank you!!!! 🙏🏽❤️🙂

  Once I well to do I request to come to San Antonio Texas to visit Westover Hills Church. I know the Ps Jim Rion, Ps Lindsey Calderon, Ps David Calderon, Ps Rachel Petz. I request to come to Westover Hills Church, but no money to come because from Malaysia fright to San Antonio Texas very expensive.
