this is a loving church that love absolutely loves Jesus! I've called it home for over 5 years. The pastoral staff is amazing! They not only talk the talk but they walk the talk as well and the worship, well what can I say, is AMAZING! They lead us to the Throne room of God in worship every single Sunday! I am so thankful for this community where I can feel free to be myself. This church also has an amazing youth department led by an awesome youth pastor who has a genuine love the for the youth of our community and wants to see every one of them come to know Jesus and experience Him in a truly amazing way! Our children's department is also amazing. We have loving volunteers who work in the nursery every single Sunday loving on all those beautiful, precious kiddos and teaching them about the love of Jesus and how much He loves them! I can go on and on but I invite anyone to come check out the church for yourself and if you're looking for a home church, I pray you find it here at Wake!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have always wanted to TRULY feel connected to a church, and Wake Church finally made that dream a reality for me. After attending larger churches where I often felt invisible, I was so grateful to find a place that truly feels like home! Pastor Josh acknowledges everyone walking through the doors, preaches straight from the Bible and teaches what real discipleship looks like!! He challenges you to live out your faith in your everyday life and he isn’t afraid to speak the truth - no sugar coating! If genuine community matters to you, Wake Church is the place to be. Their “Wake Houses,” which function like small group Bible studies, have been such a blessing in my life. I’m apart of Zodwa’s house, and she is truly incredible. I love gathering with her and others to dive deeper into the Word and grow together in faith. I’ve met amazing people here and built relationships I hope will last a lifetime. I’m sooooo grateful to call Wake Church my home and I hope you give it a chance 🤍 P.s if you have toddlers they will love it here! The church connects to “oh toodles” so they get a little bit of play time while still learning the word! My 4 year old loves going and memorizing Bible verses.

I was invited by my high school friends in 2018 and right away I was welcomed by everyone I came in contact with, I didn’t really grow up in church so I initially was nervous and didn’t know what to expect but thank the Lord I stayed around and now I call this Church home, gave my life to Jesus here, and been surrounded by people who genuinely love other people and been serving here for 5 years, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you give this church a try if you’re looking for a place to call home!

It was my first time visiting the Wake Church in Conroe. I was very disappointed 😞 to be entering the house of God, without any acknowledgement of welcome besides the young lady at the door giving me a flyer about the activities that I suppose are offered for visitors to connect but that was about it. No joy on the faces of the individuals standing in the foyer of the Church just every one staring probably wondering who is she but definitely no excitement of seeing someone entering the place where supposedly the Love of God resides. But it didn't surprise me at all but I was finally hoping that I would have found a community that I finally felt like I belonged for once since I have been living in Texas for 2+years but I can say that the Word that the Pastor taught was definitely on time and I really enjoyed it nevertheless and at the end of service I met a sweet lady named Linda that says she was the Aunt to the Pastor and I introduced myself to Amy or Ashley that was very nice but overall it was nice to be in the House of God again.

Music is loud. Bring ear plugs. Most songs in my opinion are meh. But I am older and like the older hymns. If you have ptsd or anxiety come a little late so the last rows are open and you can get a seat with no one behind you. Messages are really good and I connect with them most of the time. Update 5/2/26. Like most churches they run over time often.

Attended here for the first time for their worship night last week and all I can say is The Holy Spirit was present there, and Pastor Josh is a humbling man of God. May The Lord bless and continue to use Wake Church to grow The Kingdom of Heaven!

Visiting my son and daughter-in-law who live in the area and visited Wake Church with them. Great atmosphere. People were friendly and welcoming. Met a guy in the foyer and was surprised when he came out on stage and gave the message. Yes, the lead pastor was out front greeting people and personally welcoming 1st timers. Don’t see that at too many churches today. Music was contemporary and awesome. The message was right from the Bible and theology accurate. No proof-texting here. Lots of young people (ok, for me young is 20-30 somethings) and families, and that is what you want to see at a church. If you are looking for a church home in the Conroe/Woodlands area I would encourage you to check Wake Church out.

01.18.26 — I attended as a guest, encouraged by the positive reviews and the consistently full parking lot on Sundays. Unfortunately, I was more than disappointed by today’s sermon, if it can be characterized as such. The band played continuously throughout the service, and the volume—particularly the bass—was excessive. The pastor appeared unprepared and spoke in a rambling manner, without delivering a clear or cohesive message. The service resembled a concert rather than a sermon, with disjointed commentary interspersed throughout. The congregation was expected to remain standing for an extended period. I sat down at 10:38 a.m., despite the service beginning at 10:00 a.m., and ultimately left at 10:45 a.m. A friend who stayed for the duration reported that the congregation remained standing the entire time. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this church.

Where do I start?? Today we went to the Wake for our second time and it was just absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, the people, the congregation and the nice coffee shop makes one feel right at home. As we were standing in line to get our coffee's, Josh one of the Pastors greeted us with a huge welcoming smile and sparked up a conversation welcoming our family. We've been traveling across this beautiful country full-time in our RV for 5yrs now and have visited many churches. Hands down this has been by far our best experience, especially for our two teenage daughters. We'll be in the area for a bit and look forward to meeting tons of people and building relationships that are in line with our beliefs. Highly recommend to attend a service you won't be disappointed! Especially if you have children... All the effort these folks put into getting the positive message across to help the youth on their journey of life. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ALL DAY LONG!

100/10 Pastor Josh is fantastic. Biblical teachings with love, while not sugar coating. Worship is stellar. Kids ministry is engaging and fun! Wake Houses help to cultivate meaningful and lasting relationships. We are so happy we found Wake and get the pleasure of calling it home.
