  Women, consider attending another church. Pastor Stephen actually used the fact that Sarah, Abraham’s wife, was attracting attention in her sixties as evidence that we modern women have no excuse for looking bad as we age. When I wrote a blog post about it, he replied that he was justified in his sermon point because he had consulted his wife prior to preaching. Please don’t give him or this church any of your time, loyalty, or hard-earned dollars. I have since found a church that fully honors women as the bride of Christ they are. Edit to Stephen’s response: apparently Pastor Stephen doesn’t understand his responses to negative reviews of his church make him look bad…not us 🤷‍♀️

  If you’re looking for a fresh, welcoming faith community in Harker Heights, Vintage Church is a fantastic choice that checks every box for a modern, stress-free Sunday. The first thing you’ll appreciate is the plenty of parking—no circling the block or stressful arrivals here. Once you walk in, the relaxed atmosphere is immediately apparent. It’s the kind of place where you can truly "come as you are," and you’ll see plenty of people comfortably wearing jeans. The worship service is standout, featuring passionate music and teaching that feels both biblically sound and highly relevant to everyday life. Before or after the service, make sure to hit the coffee and snack bar; it’s a great spot to grab a quality brew and connect with others in a low-pressure environment. Whether you’re new to the area or just looking for a non-denominational church that feels like home from day one, this relatively new addition to the heights is well worth a visit. EDIT: some of the negative reviews I've read are crazy and honestly pretty petty. I would pray for some of these people but it would only seems to offend them. BTW, if you ever read reviews from people who only have 1 or 2 other reviews, take it with a grain of salt. It may be someone who created a fake profile to boost or destroy a business's reputation.

  I don’t usually write reviews but I feel like I should share this. So my husband and I went here for a few weeks to try to find a home church here in Texas. Unfortunately- I believe this church is very money centered from my experiences and the things I witnessed here. I believe in tithing the tenth. I believe we should honor God in our finances and Trust Him in this way- and I also believe if he does Call us to more that it is our responsibility to then act on that calling that is directly from Him. The last regular church service my husband and I went to the pastor talked about parking spaces. Now as someone who was a member in my church for three years in TN that was GROWING bigger- I understand the need for a growing parking lot. However, to speak in the manner the pastor did was very misguided. We are called as a church to work together- but the words and tone in which the pastor used- I don’t believe was Christ like in any way. I’ve noticed more of a push on shame- than one of conviction. Another thing that REALLY stuck out to me was saying that we don’t have to pray about everything. He mentioned this in the same service- referring to some things just being common sense and that the church should do more. Although I do believe God gives us common sense- the Bible never says not to pray. The tone of shame that he produced this information with was not biblical. Conviction and accountability are not the same as shaming and coercion.. I do think if someone says they will pray on it when they already have the answer FROM God is something entirely different- however, our flesh can be SO deceitful, as well as our hearts- so it’s important to pray on everything and make sure it aligns with what God is truly calling YOU personally to do- lest you fall into debt or give away and now lack the provision that God extended for you and your household. Sometimes He calls us to donate more or to sacrifice a little more according to our seasons- but He also calls us to be wise stewards of our money and finances while also actively tithing a tenth which it states in the Bible. I think that the teachings are so subtly misguided that it takes consistency & a watchful eye to notice patterns of self expression instead of God reflection. If you are like me, who wants to get to know a church personally before making a decision based on reviews- I recommend praying for discernment before walking in and for any small twists or spirit of coercion/ pressure that’s not from God to be revealed. I’d also recommend staying alert, writing down notes with dates & in prayer while coming to this church. There were some things that were taught that were in alignment with the word and brought passion and a call for change- however, this is why it was so hard to notice everything in the beginning. I pray that the posture of the heart in this church will align with Christ’s will Fully and that discernment will be placed upon the worship team and pastor to be able to separate what the physical church needs from what the spiritual church needs and how to trust God with both without misguided actions

  First, during the service the pastor addressed the congregation in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh regarding children. He was adamant that parents should drop children off in childcare and not bring them into the main service because they can be a disturbance. That did not resonate with my family. For safety reasons, we do not leave our child with anyone outside of family until she is old enough to speak clearly and tell us if something happened. We came to worship as a family, not to be pressured or shamed for keeping our child with us. He also publicly called out people for leaving during closing remarks. While I understand valuing reverence, there are many legitimate reasons someone may need to step out. Addressing it spontaneously from the pulpit to the whole congregation did not seem prudent; a private approach or a church-wide email/reminder would have been more appropriate. Lastly—and most importantly—I’m concerned about the church’s doctrinal messaging. The church teaches that Christians should support the modern secular state of Israel and frames support for Judaism as something Christians ought to affirm. From a Baptist, Bible-centered perspective, I cannot agree with that. The Bible is clear about the betrayal and position of the modern Jew. It felt and it felt like political/theological pressure rather than clear Christ-centered gospel teaching. I’m sharing this for others who hold traditional Baptist convictions and want to avoid surprises.

  I started to attend vintage church earlier this year by invitations of friends that have been members of the church and pastor Steven who I met by coincidence (was it?). I am a young senior and was surprised how many young people attend. Very relaxed atmosphere, truly come as you are. Very friendly staff including the volunteers (I am also now). The service is great! Starting with all the great voices and musicians that give their time to present inspirational songs. Gets pretty loud, but you can sit in the lounge where it's not so loud and still follow along. I have not been a long time church attende. Only went to another local church for a couple of years. I love ❤️ going to hear pastors Steven and Daniel. The scripture is posted to read along and then we get the meaning of the words explained. Going and being a member of this church has been so good for me and is helping me to deal with life's challenges. A big thank you to all that make a contemporary and informative service possible .thank you God for showing me that life is so much better with you in it

  Protestant woman married to a Catholic Man (Maronite) I can say this Church has my respect. One of the main issues Protestants face is that they destroy themselves by destroying their leadership and don’t realize the battles that are coming their way. Pastor Steve is very alert and aware and is NO Coward and though his personality is rough, he is what is needed in these times when us sheep are unawares of the evil lurking around wanting Christians to be prim and proper with no backbone. The Holy Spirit moves in power here amongst weak and broken people Yes there are many issues just as the whole Church through out history can be picked apart because only Jesus is worthy, we are not But this Pastor is leading with a sincere heart after God’s own heart- and that is so hard to find

  My wife, 4 children, and I have attended here for almost 5 years now! Vintage has a wonderful child care program from 6 weeks to 5th grade; and an awesome student ministry for older kids! Vintage saved my worldly life, my marriage, my relationship to my children, and my eternal destination. Pastor Stephen has such a fire inside him, to equip us to fight the spiritual warfare we see daily here in Killeen, Bell County, Texas, and the United States.

  We need money, Lets talk Politics with a side of Jesus Church. That would be a great name for this business….I mean “Church”. If you want zero community involvement outside of an easter egg hunt and halloween this is a great place for you. If you want to focus on the next political candidate, world topic, or devote your life to Netanyahu this place will be the building blocks to your success. A great place to sample the pastor is on his social media, he interacts with such healthy dialogue. Please take your tithe and service elsewhere, somewhere that values Christ, the community, and discipleship.

  Vintage is an amazing church which preachers biblical principals and also creates a welcoming environment for new comers and continue to show love to those who still come. the Pastors are amazing as well as the student ministry. ps. the coffee is sooooo good
