I absolutely love Vandelia! I strayed away from the lord for several years. I wanted to find a church that felt like home, that didn’t shame you, guilt you, or judged your every move. I wanted a family, accepting, affirming, and overall loving and willing to support. From my first day, I was so welcomed by everyone! I was allowed the space to grow and I got to be myself. Any struggle I had the entire church supporting me and every success I had cheerleaders! If you are looking for an inclusive church where all voices are heard, then this is it!

This is a small but wonderful group of Christ followers who aren’t afraid to take on the big questions and actually do what Jesus would do, that is love them all and let God sort it out. There’s no judgement. There’s no hate. Just a lot of love. Sure. It’s a church. And they do churchy things like sometimes sing worship songs that are older than your grandma, but that brings comfort too. And since they are a church of Christ, they sing without instrumental accompaniment. And there’s preaching a sermon, but it’s not hours long and it’s usually to the point and useful. My favorite part of services is children’s spot, where kids of all ages have the option to go up front for a lesson theoretically just for them, but that happens to apply to all of us.

Our new church. Very awesome place to worship. Very greeting and nice people. My family was welcomed and wanted here. Thank you Lord for leading us here.
