To the older, smaller lady who works in the clothing area. You questioned what I got yesterday and if I intended to wear all of them. Three pair of capri’s and four shirts. You even stated that I had been there last week and got a lot of things. I was shocked at what you said to me. I told you yes, I did get a lot, of which I took home and tried on. Most did not fit and I brought them back Tuesday and left them on the covered porch with other items. I commented that I didn’t realize there was a limit on what we took. Your comment was, “yes, there really is”. I have lost a lot of weight in the last few months due to a terminal illness. Your insensitive and rude comments are the reason many people do NOT go to the Church of Christ. You certainly did NOT set a good example of a caring Christian. As I continue on my journey, I will most likely lose more weight. I will not be coming to your clothing room but rather I will go to the First Methodist Church where they were kind and helpful. Even pulling items and recommending them to me. I hope you read this and are made aware of just how offended I was at your comments. You were not the example that I assumed the church would be proud of! Shane on you! Being ill is not pleasant and knowing it is terminal is even worse. I take great pride in looking my best. I also try to act my best. You should NOT be allowed to work there! You made me feel terrible about getting clothing that fits. I hope you remember me and your rude comments. The sweet lady from the Grand Saline CoC heard you and looked very shocked. When we got into the car, my friend made a comment about how rude you were. There were several Hispanic families getting clothing. All three left driving much newer, nicer vehicles than I own. I assume you judged me based on my makeup and grooming because I had on old torn jeans and a yellow button up blouse. Both came from your clothing pantry last week. Just needed to let you know how you made me feel.

All of these glossy reviews yet no one mentions that they kick people out of the church at their own will. No chance for resolution or explanation just a letter that says “you’re out”. So sad. Not Christ-like at all! Shame on you all. We will all face God one day and His judgment is all that matters. I’m glad I won’t be standing in your shoes.
