Having a wonderful experience at this church of friendly agape people, all seeking to be a little better person each day, through all our struggles. Great supportive community. Unity Spititual Living Center of Abilene is a small congregation practicing the presence of "Spirit within" daily through prayer & meditation. Faith based Protestants, evolving from the 1870s "New Thought" movement, ALL are welcome in Unity. Acceptance/tolerance (not just religious) is encouraged in seeking Oneness with all things at all Unity churches worldwide. Sunday service includes posi-music, affirmations, meditation, prayer and speaker message. Guest speakers, in the absence of a Unity Minister, share a rich variety of life, spiritual, and growth experiences. An elected Board of Directors approve and oversee church activities: Sunday adult & youth services, Sunday AM & Wednesday PM Meditation, Tues book study, Thursday Spiritual Discussion Group, a trained Unity Chaplain for prayer assistance, monthly Potluck, Birthday Sunday, Coffee House Live Music nites, and Outreach activities. I used to Love it!! But too many things changed all @ once and most all my friends felt like they where being treated unkindly & left & so did I / however, I do miss it.
