We started attending here in the year before the pandemic started. I was looking for an LGBTQ-friendly, not overly religious church experience for my two younger two kids who had been burned by traditional Christian churches. We’ve been here for three years now. Whether meeting in person at the funky little church building, online over Zoom, or out in the park six feet apart, this congregation always manages to bring their smiling faces, warm hearts, and open minds together for a calming, heart-healing worship experience. We love this little church and all the people in it. Thanks UUFT for being so welcoming and taking care of our hearts.

Amen ... "For Sunday April 14, 2024: an exceptional morning Worship Service!" The intrepid travelers are 1,139.4 miles bound for a gathering of friends with the Toronto Supra Club to tackle the Tail Of The Dragon in Fontana Dam, NC (see link in comments), the RV remaining behind at its berth in Alpine, TX. It is a several days drive from our Saturday April 14th departure in a rental auto from San Angelo TX and arrival Wednesday April 17th, day before things begin. Alicia targeted our first overnighter in Tyler TX. She knew I'd enjoy attending a Unitarian Universalist congregation. And indeed I/We did. The morning hit highnotes on several levels. First, this is a lovely, small Chapel tucked into the woods. The fragrance of the Honeysuckle (heady and nectarous, a little like jasmine tinged with vanilla) blooming in the parking area was quite pronounced. We enjoyed The Passage Video rendition of "Stand By Me" (see link in Comments). I particularly appreciated, the homily "Why Church", by Rev. Lyssa Jenkins. She covered all the bases, hitting an inside the Chapel homerun, resonating with meaning. The closing Hymn, "Blue Boat Home" (see link in Comments) is one of my UU favorites.

Love this place!!!! Love the people. If you are looking for a church but you just haven't found home or somewhere you could be 💯 yourself or maybe you are still searching for what you believe in. Then please come here!! Great people. Always an amazing service with such wonderful messages to walk away with. Coffee and snacks prior to service, childcare(lots of art activities and nature walks) cute playground. Huge windows with beautiful views of all the trees that surround the building. Movie nights and community events.

Amazing, peace, harmony, happiness, free to live. College aged spiritual thinking sad the students don't really knows about it
