Sometimes God places people in your life to change your direction forever and for me, Pastor David Charles and Doris Charles were exactly that blessing. Here's a fraction of my testimony I thank God with all my heart that my path crossed with Pastor David and Doris , the leaders of U Turn Church in Dallas, Texas. I first met them in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and I have known them for many years. Before meeting them personally, I had already heard many extraordinary stories about their ministry. But when I finally witnessed their lives and their hearts myself, I was truly in awe, I could clearly see that God is behind what they are doing. Pastor David Charles carries a wisdom and passion that is rare. I watched him build a church from something small into something powerful through faith, perseverance, and complete trust in God. When he preaches, it is unlike anything I have experienced before. His messages stay with you long after the service ends. You don’t just hear words — you feel the truth of the Gospel in your heart. And Doris Charles… she truly reminds me of the woman described in Book of Proverbs 31. She is humble, strong, compassionate, and completely devoted to serving others. With nothing but faith, a dream, and a heart for people, she started the Dorion Dream Center food bank. From nothing, she created a place that helps those in need. No one is turned away. They welcome everyone just as they are, exactly as Jesus taught us. Pastor David and Doris are also the reason I was saved. Through their lives, their love, and their ministry, I was able to see the true heart of Jesus. They have a beautiful way of reaching people and winning hearts — not through pressure, but through genuine love, truth, and humility. Of course, they are human like all of us and not perfect. But their humility, their willingness to serve, and their dedication to God is something truly special. I will always thank God that I had the blessing of meeting them and working alongside them before they moved to Texas. My life was changed because of it. I have felt welcomed, accepted & loved since the first time I walked through the U-turn church door, my wife & kids also felt the same way. After the service we had privilege to go for different fellowship meals. This is the most loving & caring church I have ever known. Not just their love for others, but their love for Christ.

Pastor David Charles and I have been Assemblies of God Pastor for over 30 years serving in India/Virginia/Ottawa/Montreal and is now forming a team to plant this Bible based church in Richardson, TX.
