This church truly is a resting place for you to be with the Lord. The Holy Spirit fills the room every time and the love that the Pastors and the people at this church have for Jesus can be seen and felt. It is truly a Christ centered Church where Jesus is at the center of it all and you are family upon entering. They get to know you on a personal level and everyone is always there to lift you up whenever you need it. I love this church and I’m so glad I found my family.

The first moment I walked in I couldn’t explain it, but all I could do was weep. There’s a phrase on the wall that says “a resting place” and it was the first time in a long time I had ever felt at peace. This church is very spirit lead, scripture lead and puts Jesus first above everything else. If you’re in the Alamo Ranch area this church is definitely a beautiful place to step into❤️

I didn’t feel comfortable here as it felt like I was being watched as if I was going to rob the place or something. I get churches should be watchful, as I’ve had to operate in certain capacities in churches I was a member of, but you also have to understand people aren’t dumb and they are souls. This is a really nice neighborhood so it was weird. I figured it was because I was a black man that was smiling really hard so that’s why the men were on alert, it’s happened before in my life and others like me so I am used to. I hoped it wouldn’t be at a church as we, as Believers, are supposed to look at the Spirit rather than the flesh but such is life. Other issues I had were more of just not my style of church rather than a slight against the actual church such as the music and singing. All in all, I was there to hear the preacher anyway. I don’t make it to the preacher though as it was 40 minutes of the same type of singing, that isn’t my personal preference, and a guy behind me kept whistling and yelling. It just didn’t feel good to be there so I left. They were taking a long time to bring up the preacher and just kept singing. The music just was not my cup of tea and they kept playing it. As I was walking out I noticed the guy that was watching me the whole time I was there mixer have told the guy at the door I left out the sanctuary, I don’t understand why as it was noticeable and just unnecessary to me, and the guy at the door said something as if he was confirming he saw me and I was leaving. The guys the city wear these secret service ear plugs lol. I’ve been in church for most of my life and been in really rough areas and never did we need secret service equipment lol. All in all, I’ll never go back. I wish I could have heard the speaker but I’m noticing in churches that are not predominantly black there’s a way you are treated when your black and not ten yo cater to other ethnicities. At churches I’ve been a member of we made it a point to make people feel welcome no matter how they looked or how they reacted to the service. I think most in churches have to understand there’s more people in the world than those you’re just accustomed to and that look like you. If you’re going to have a church be easy to deal with different cultures and personalities. Also the church isn’t a place to play secret service agent or policeman, it was really weird. Acting like you’re in the Spirit but watching people selectively isn’t righteous. Very disappointing visit.

Most welcoming church ever. Made my family feel right at home. Worship is heart warming and the sermons hits the nail on the head, always feel like God is speaking right to me thru the sermon. Love this church. Come see for yourself

The culture at Triumph Church is so refreshing! Once I learned what the heart of this church was about I knew this was where God wanted me. The Pastors preach to reveal who God is and save lost souls. They also encourage you to dive into the word during the week for a deeper understanding and relationship with God. They also have ways to fellowship and learn during the week through Connect groups, Men’s group, Women’s group, and youth group. For anyone curious about young adults, there’s one connect group I go that is pretty much young adults and is great! The Pastors and people are loving, humble, and helpful. I’ve learned so much about God and how to walk in the spirit from being here. I’m so grateful that God led me to Triumph Church. ❤️
