The staff are a big issue here. Some have bad attitudes, others don't want to get off their phones, and all this was just to drop off donations. You can tell many don't want to be there and anytime I've gone to leave donations they act like I'm a burden on them. Better off finding a different organization to help out.

The Tokens of Hope program changed my life. I came to the Sally, hopeless and homeless, but with the amazing guidance, support, and emotional experience that Tammy, Vanessa, and program director Erica provided, I am leaving a woman who rich …

You know, community members GIVE items to Salvation Army so that this organization can further their cause and it is run so poorly. I called to donate several good pieces of furniture. Was told a pick up would be today. No follow up call to tell me they weren’t coming. I take time out of my day to be here. I call back and what am I told? “Oh, I just asked director and we are a week behind. Won’t be for another week.” Why wasn’t I told this in the first place? No apology? Nope. Just poor management and employees who don’t care.

The Salvation Army's approach of enabling homeless individuals with drug addictions to sustain their habits while neglecting other essential needs is deeply problematic. This allows drug addicts to exploit the system, leaving little to no …
